We need someone to take it but none of the men want it which is funny. In an era where tiktok dances are cool, no men want to snatch that. Even Bruno Mars dances less now

Mainly focusing on Jung Kook because his solo output was strongly geared towards the Western market and fully in English, but you could include several male k-pop acts in this conversation. 

 

Such a shame that the general public slept on him. "Standing Next To You" in particular is such a stand-out. People are understandably annoyed at the stan-driven antics inflating the performance of Jimin's "Who" on Spotify, but it's very much in the vein of what Justin Timberlake and Chris Brown were doing in their first eras too.

If you mean like topping the charts and at the center of of mainstream media that's never going to happen. He's kind of a MSM scapegoat cause he couldn't perform at the Billboard awards, but these ceremonies have no problem having the likes of Dr. Dre and others getting awards and admiration.

 

Chris still sells out shows and makes good money so he doesn't seem to care about that, and alternatively as pointed out by Luminate even... Men are done making Pop music. They thrive in other genres and no longer need to occupy that space so they don't.

When I first opened the thread it had 50 dislikes. A few hours later and you hit over 100. The Kukai impact still going strong

I can see it in the sound. The song is not my cup of tea but I think it's a good cip of tea for people who like that kind of tea. I wonder if that "hot dancing MPB spot" has been left vacant bc not as many people are into that kind if tea now or if there acrually is a decent-sized public for this and JK just has to break-through.
