Is "Blue Strips" the worst hit of the year so far?
I hate Morgan Wallen's "I'm The Problem" and Drake's "NOKIA" more for their content. Still can't believe the general public is rewarding Drake with another hit post-"Not Like Us", let alone with a half-assed song that comes across as a 38-year old man hitting up on young college girls at a club. Such a waste of an otherwise really creative and fun beat. Wallen's "Love Somebody" and "Smile" are exceedingly dull and uninspired, so I'd also rate them higher than "Blue Strips" on my worst list. But Jessie Murph definitely brought us our first entertainingly bad hit song of 2025. I don't think a white woman emulating bad gal Rihanna on a country-trap beat was something anyone was asking for. Shout-out to KATSEYE's "Gnarly" as another hilariously awful 2025 release, though not necessarily a hit yet. This one's been living rent-free in my head as of late.

Artists with the most unlucky chart peaks?
All of Halsey's albums this decade could have gone #1 on the Billboard 200 had it not been for surprise releases from high-profile hip hop artists. - In 2020, "Manic" was blocked by Eminem's "Music to Be Murdered By", which dropped on the same Friday with no prior announcement. - In 2021, "If I Can't Have Love, I Want Power" was expected to be that week's biggest seller until Kanye West dropped the much-anticipated "Donda" on a Sunday. Halsey got blocked again. - In 2024, "The Great Impersonator" also got stuck at #2, blocked by Tyler The Creator's "CHROMAKOPIA", which while not technically a surprise release like the others, had a fairly sudden announcement in addition to an atypical Monday release. Bruno Mars is another unlucky artist when it comes to the Billboard 200. "24K Magic" was blocked by Metallica's "Hardwired… to Self-Destruct" while, in the most chaotic coincidence, both 2012's "Unorthodox Jukebox" and 2021's "An Evening With Silk Sonic" were blocked by the same album on debut week - Taylor Swift's "Red" In the UK, "Locked Out Of Heaven", "When I Was Your Man", "Die With A Smile", and "APT." all got stuck at #2, with the latter blocked for seven non-consecutive weeks.

Can you see a current pop girl pull off a performance like Janet's Would You Mind?
Normani paid tribute to this performance with Teyana Taylor at the VMAs back in 2021.

Would you like your fave to revive old albums via new tours?
You have no idea of the extreme lengths XO would go for The Weeknd to do this type of tour honouring the "Trilogy" mixtapes. Ditto for a tour revisiting 2013's "Kiss Land" - the underperforming debut album that has since achieved major cult status within the fandom. Ideally, these would take place in smaller venues and feature a more intimate setting reminiscent of his early beginnings as an underground artist. I'd also be intrigued for a potential "After Hours" anniversary tour incorporating the original, storytelling-driven vision that was scrapped due to the pandemic, "Dawn FM" 's release, and the shift to a stadium tour. Granted, Abel will be retiring The Weeknd after concluding "Hurry Up Tomorrow" 's rollout, but I can still see him considering doing something like this further down the line. He actually slightly hinted at it during his Spotify Billions Club concert last December, talking about enjoying revisiting a smaller intimate venue and wanting an opportunity to do something special for the day-one fans. Who knows?

Lisa under fire for wearing lingerie featuring the face of Rosa Parks at the MET gala
The way this could have easily been avoided by keeping the lace pattern on the coat alone and having black leather hotpants for the bottom instead. I'd still have issues with the overall look, but at least it wouldn't be as tacky and tone-deaf.

MET Gala 2025 | Superfine: Tailoring Black Style
Absolutely! I was just thinking to myself earlier today how "brat" is up there alongside Dua Lipa's "Future Nostalgia" and The Weeknd's "After Hours" as the best fully-fledged album eras of the decade so far. It might have not been as successful, but it still managed to be part of the cultural conversation and hit all the right spots from beginning to end (intriguing rollout, great music videos, memorable performances, the remix album - all culminating in her brilliant set at Coachella).

Cardi looks AMAZING! Echoing @pxxxtrick's obsession. Everything about this outfit is simply phenomenal! Also, I can't believe it took us this long to get someone channeling Jimi Hendrix and Prince.

MET Gala 2025 | Superfine: Tailoring Black Style
Dare I say she's somewhat reheating Tyla's nachos from last year, except make it plaster instead of sand? Don't get me wrong - she looks good, and I can appreciate this very literal interpretation of "Tailored To You". But I couldn't help but notice the similarities.

Insane to think Diana Ross and Stevie Wonder are both in the same building tonight. Two absolute legends in the fullest sense of the word.

MET Gala 2025 | Superfine: Tailoring Black Style
The hair and the shades look fabulous, but while she still looks good, I hope there's an outfit reveal. Otherwise I'd just say she's been spending too much time with The Weeknd and took from his playbook of grabbing an oversized black coat and calling it a day.

MET Gala 2025 | Superfine: Tailoring Black Style
Fun idea to attach pocket watches all over his waistcoat. It's charming and kinda camp, making him look like a quirky time traveller. Speaking of quirky time travellers, where is Ncuti Gatwa??? If TODAY was right about their attendance list, he should be appearing tonight.

I'm LIVING for the lowkey steampunk aesthetic. Fantastic look! This will probably end up among tonight's most underappreciated looks. Andra did a great job and I love the accessories!
