Lost Pop Girls

Featured Replies

I've recently discovered this pop girlie:

She had two early christian albums, but her 2001 pop album is what helped her gain recognition (and the only that's on streaming). She was only 13 and after the album was released, she left the music industry and hasn't made any form of a comeback or did any interviews.

I had no idea she was only 13 :jonny: the video for SILWT looked very…mature. She's laying down on the ground singing seductively to the camera and in other scenes cuddling up with older looking men and one is even kissing her neck :deadbanana2:Even the song's subject matter is just…. :rip:   I think her parents didn't like where her image was going because her next single release was a ballad and they had her on stage dressed like a substitute teacher

After that she left the music industry never to be heard from again .

What are some other lost pop girls?

I've been in love with this german independent pop girlie for a while now, can't wait to hear her debut album

So In Love With Two was a bop :clap3:

There's this gem from the same time period, no idea what happened with the singer either

all those random girlies that Disney/Hollywood Records screwed over like Myra or Jordan Pruitt

Have yall heard of this song? :duca: Used to be a banger in my childhood. The artist sadly doesnt seem to release music anymore with her last album being almost a decade old :/

I wonder what she's up to today :eli:

My flop girly Asia Cruise :chick3:

After she parted ways wirh her label she disappeared for awhile and then she tried to go country a few years after and failed, then vanished.

And then my girl Kaci Battaglia. She debuted as a kid and her bop Paradise was my jam as a kid when they wooul show it on Nickelodeon :katie2:

She also had some bangers as an adult

Her album Bring It On was great, lots of bops. Captain Save A Hoe was my jam :gaycatina1:

but then she vanished after getting married and is nowhere to be found. Come back queen!

Martika, she had two studio albums and worked with Prince on the second. Then after her second album she walked away from the industry only to express regret at her decision several decades later.

She was once on a TV show called something like "Kids Incorporated" with Fergie and asked Fergie if she would sing backing vocals on her debut single "Toy Soldiers" which was later used and sampled by Eminem.

However, this was her biggest bop (maybe you have to be Gen X to appreciate it):

OMG same, and she's so pretty. And her voice is unique. I kinda like her badass vibe.

And your guess is as good as mine about what ever became of her.

I'm guilty of only knowing "Toy Soldiers" :toofunny3:....ironic considering how I stan older music...despite my age.

Hoku. Im in love with her. She was definitely like some sort of pre-hilary duff

Yessss STAN Kaci Battaglia @Subzero Body shots was my jam in freshman year of HS. My friends mom had SiriusXM in their car and the pop stations had it on loooooop.

Surprised nobody has mentioned Nadia Oh in here. Would love for a comeback one day but doubt it will ever happen. I wonder if the rumors about her and Space Cowboy falling out are true (probably likely because he's known in the industry as a ****)
