I listened to national anthem recently and it sounds like they pasted the demo vocals on top of the new luxurious production (at least for the verses) and it sounds so weird to me :deadbanana2:

 

What are some other examples?

    Cool song in theory but the second half of it is such a mess to me. The drums are waaaaay too quiet, those backing vocals too loud, everything just sounds super compressed and not in a good way.

    I wouldn't say it's a great song, but living for love is atrociously mixed it's like the vocals were recorded as voice notes

    I feel like if this song never had ambient sound in the background and the beat kicked in way sooner (and a proper video), it would have had maximal potential.

    Yeah, they don't sound mixed at all. The instrumental and the vocals feel like two separate tracks being played at the same time
