I'm also concerned about the Friday 1PM release that SM has chosen. Historically this hasn't gone so well for them, but they are in a different career stage now.

 

I hope SM isn't going to use this single to try another relaunch in the U.S. But it seems they are not using the usual Korean release timing.

Yes the glasses that made her blind. She bopping and falling over everything cause she couldn't see through the glasses. They were that opaque.

It's profitable and a good way to boost numbers when the material isn't there for a mini. It's not uncommon - SNSD did a physical single with ITNW before releasing Girls' Generation. They also did one for Party before releasing Lion Heart. BlackPink did it with HYLT before The Album. It allows the company to split up two title tracks and maximize profits (you pay less royalties when your physical release has fewer songs). 
 

My guess is that Aespa has a mini for September, Japanese mini/full in November and a full Korean album in the second quarter (April-June) of next year. They are saving material but had an extra title track ready to go and instead of making a new mini for it, they had the girls tour and do a ton of festivals and events.

Those have just been registered. When a song is written and recorded, it has to be registered before release to determine royalties. Dirty Work will have 1-2 B-sides and an English version of the title. Aespa have a mini album coming between July and September and a Japanese release coming before the end of the year so the songs could end up on either release.
