the way it seems that the Korean GP really do not care, and probably don't think Karina is conservative

but people here and X (who can't even vote) have a lot to say about it? :deadbanana4:

Every single instance of somebody trying to make this into a scandal can be traced to a single fanbase too hmm :keir:

For allegedly being the "#1 girl group of all time", a group of their fans sure do appear threatened by some girls who make niche gay music that mainly charts domestically

Wtf is this AHHA

Yes I blame blinks for everything bad that happens in real life too. :clack:

Bad Desire is really GOOD, it's gonna be on top with some of my ENHYPEN favorite titles, but it's too short :chick3: they basically had already spoiled all the song... the MV is his best without a doubt!!! Lemme listen to the album and come back.

Ok a very cohesive album by ENGODPEN, it definitely sounds a lot like the DESIRE: UNLEASH "Make" concept pics somehow ? I think ROMANCE: UNTOLD is a better album, but Bad Desire is a better title than XO. Helium is amazing, it kinda sounds like an anime ost song. The only one I really disliked was Outside but that we already knew.

Edit to put my ranking:

Bad Desire

Helium

Flashover

Too Close = Loose (probably Too Close will win with a few more listens)

Outside

Realistically, Alpha probably didn't make its money back from sales and streams. She invested a lot into giving us a complete era, but let's put it this way, her choreographer for spicy and chuck directed Rihanna's halftime show and Gaga's Mayhem era. The album was part gift to fans/passion project and part excuse to get booked at every music festival to actually make money. It makes sense that she really took her time navigating this era as an independent artist imo.

She was meant to drop CL2 last year but then the opportunity to reunite with her members came up, which is just another one of the endless stream of unfortunate delays in her career.

Really? So wouldn't all the promotions that she did recoup the money? It's not like CL is broke. Or struggling. Well considering the reason why she lost so much momentum as a soloist was from the lack of releases. Being independent and a creative it would've been smart of her to be more consistent with the musical output to make up for lost time. CL needs to get it together and at least drop a new solo single asap

Sir we're just asking for them to stick to schedule. If we were supposed to have a comeback by May then why not? Clearly they can also succeed with having multiple smashes so why not keep that streak up. No one is saying to put out something every 3 months. Im just starting a fact. It's been 7 months and there comeback has been delayed since May. We're tired of waiting is all.

well first off i hate how SM is constantly publicly releasing the "schedule" for the year. there's entire teams working behind the scenes into making albums, visuals, promotion before the idols record the songs and releasing the plans publicly is not it because fans will get excited for an alleged release month while completely disregarding the hard work of the people who write, produce, compose the albums and everything that goes with it. sometimes things happen during the production of an album that delays the release date. it happens every time. fans don't have to know anything imo.

secondly you seem to forget that a few months ago we didn't know that there would be a presidential elections with a voting period that went from the last few days of may to the 3rd of june. music, and especially groups like aespa, compete in the attention economy. it might be okay for less famous groups domestically to release during this period, but aespa relies heavily on the korean GP. releasing an album at a time where all the attention in the medias and in the mind of people is directed towards the elections, and at a time where promo slots have huge chances of being cancelled is stupid.

there's a reason why they started teasing as soon as the election was over. i'm not talking about you or anyone in this thread in particular, but kpop stans in general seem to look at logical facts and completely disregard them because they want to act dense on purpose. there's a reason why aespa has been booking uni festivals in may lol they were probably going to comeback by then but things happen, especially in this industry. nobody predicted that there would be a presidential election in may-june of 2025 :deadbanana2: and the date wasn't confirmed until april

Those outfits are amazing and I love how they fit the vampire theme. I would totally wear them.

Also, ENHYPEN probably have the best music for a fourth gen BG. I had never heard them before but @Cheers might be onto something.

I think the fan frustration comes with the fact that Aespa themselves were teasing a comeback as early as February and saying it was their fastest comeback ever. I saw them on 2/15 and they were excited and talking about it at the concert along with giving hints for "Dirty Work" then. You're clearly right in saying the election postponed their comeback, but we were expecting news back in March/April before it was even confirmed.

To make things worse, the members were complaining that Aespa were promoting needlessly with no new material out. SM has a history of doing this - they make their top act do all kinds of events because they then bundle another act or two with them to promote their smaller acts and give them visibility (and money-making opportunities).

I'm just hoping the promotions are good for "Dirty Work" and then the girls get a month or so of rest before launching their mini and their Japanese release.

Yeah, I kinda feel the same. It's true it's very short but at the same time, it kinda sounds complete? I would have preferred a longer song and a more powerful bridge that matched the epic vibes of the song but still, I think it's growing to be top 3 titles for me with Drunk-Dazed and Bite Me :wanda:
