I think they wanted to line this up with their Tokyo Dome performance, which is basically the end of their world tour. They did release the In the Rain MV to coincide with Coachella, though it kind of backfired with the umbrellas during the choreo getting blown away by the wind.

Speaking of misfortune in SM, the Mexico concert is less than 20% sold out. Tonight is going to be iconic  I don't think RV and Aespa have ever even seen a crowd that isn't sold out.

This isn't misfortune, it's what they deserve. This SMTOWN has been a mess since the start.

 

From sending messy invites to ex-SM idols...to excluding their own idols from performing, but not telling fans...to line-ups that have been like 90% men...to extremely high ticket prices. This was heading for flop from day 1.
