Remember, at the beginning, Keena picked Ahn Sungil, too.  Which she probably should have done as he was the one responsible for her debut since he laid off all the other Attrakt trainees, but kept her.  When it was becoming clear that they had underestimated the stupid stubborn CEO Hongjun, only then did Keena abandon the team and return to Attrakt, probably with the promise that her writing credits to "Cupid" would be restored. 

 

But then months had passed and nothing had been restored.  Tired of Hongjun's excuses (after all, she had left him before), maybe she sought out the person she only rejected when things were looking bleak.  What she heard clearly impacted her, as instead of swimming with music industry sharks, she had chosen the gullible guppy whose only achievement in a decades long career as a kpop executive was the ability to make no one famous.

Point is that if the public liked Loona they could have been one of the examples but they are not. Maybe Gen 2 had more GG's thriving and gen 3 had to compete with the active gen 2 groups  as well BUT this doesnt mean that if Loona was gen 2 they would have been successfull...
