I dont think anyone blames Suzy, not even the girls. Suzy was a soldier and very hardworking she was just doing what she was told. Tension might have erupt when suzy made that reveal but its only natural since the hate the rest recieved after that was huge and uncalled for. In every picture of the other 3 having fun, knetizens were commenting that they are leeches that eat Suzy's money

 

The Suzy gate definitely influenced how JYP managed Twice and the attention he gave to the group promotions over solos maybe even to the other extreme tbh

 

 

There is also a rumour that when one member of TWICE was invited to a show, JYP would insist that another member be invited too as  a tactic to distribute visibility and prevent another Suzy situation.

Its happening with a lot of groups/idols, I saw some of those comments in Kai Tik tok account too.

WGs didn't have this problem, and to avoid it they just shelved all of TWICE/ITZY

 

Despite their popularity TWICE wasn't really pushed individually at all (Nayeon especially) despite the public wanting Nayeon/Sana/Tzuyu. Plus along with flag-gate I think they definitely did not want to push Tzuyu and just shelved her indefinitely

I don't fully agree with this take, especially considering that JYP has shown clear favoritism within TWICE as well. There's definitely a hierarchy in the group, with Nayeon and Jihyo being noticeably more favored compared to the rest. In my opinion, exposure in group songs matters way more than anything else, and both Nayeon and Jihyo consistently get more lines, screen time, and center positions in TWICE's songs. Just look at the huge difference in exposure between someone like Dahyun and Nayeon for, example.

 

Honestly, even Miss A was a lot more balanced when it came to how exposure was distributed among the members in their songs.
