Watched Jennie's 2nd weekend...the vocals were a hot ass mess and her energy was already flagging before the first half of the set

BUT she is such an engaging performer that she got away with it in my book. The choreo, stage and camera direction was also really great. She seemed connected to the audience and quite emotional at the end which was charismatic.

Like Jennie performance also went off. :clap3: Even if she was (often visibly) struggling energy wise, she has a lot of stage presence as a soloist which carried her through.

The way God's Menu is the only SK's song that surpasses Aespa's highest streaming song, A.K.A Drama and it was a song released before Aespa's debut:bibliahh: Stray Kids highest streaming unit song is at 190M, released in 2021 btw, while Karina's solo song released in late 2024 is already at 115M + it became a hit in korea:jonny6: but sure Stray Kids legends.

also worth mentioning that whiplash has more daily streams than every single stray kids song atm :matty:

Seeing how they handled the RIIZE situation, I'm not surprised

exo and red velvet had so much potential .. but sm wasted all of it. now both of the groups are shelved

good for taehyung for sticking to jazz and doing what he like, but i need at least one pop album from him.

This is actually very true.

I don't see it getting better until Aespa releases

Some 4th gen bgs can do better numbers than ENGODPEN but you know what they don't have... their artistry and taste

XG kinda fumbled their bag by releasing Howling as a title track and not "Is This Love?" Hoping the song rises even more, deserves 100M streams.

They saw Woke Up doing well while their vocal-oriented songs underfperformed, so I get why they did that

Jennie snatching a HIT with longevity :clap3:
And the album is still doing 10M´+ daily aswell

100% agree with you. Call me biased, but she just has that it factor (reminiscent of Krystal imo). Jennies performances are fun to watch even though she seems to struggle energy wise.

I'm honestly surprised that Jungkook and Jimin are outperforming V commercially, considering V was by far the most popular member when BTS was active as a group.

It's a similar situation with Rosé and Jennie now outperforming Lisa, even though Lisa was easily the most popular member when BLACKPINK was actively promoting together.

I think the issue between V and Bang Pd goes back to the group's founding. It's no coincidence that V is the only person he can't recognize besides New Jeans lol They kept V as a secret member because they were afraid that other companies would steal him, but I'm sure no one else understood their strategy. I think they might have been afraid that revealing V first would create a gap between the fans he and the other members would gain, which is obvious since V instantly gained more fansites than all the other members when he was revealed. They never supported his solo work, they never tried to arrange collaborations for him, they never promoted him. The work V has earned so far has always been through his close circle of friends or his own efforts.

His first acting experience? The director personally wanted him because he fit the character. The OSTs he released? Kdramas that always starred by his own friends. The collabs he released? Works that were made by artists reaching out to him personally. His solo album? I'm sure if V hadn't gone to MHJ, he would have still gone to another producer for his solo album. Not to mention, he stands out as the only member who hasn't done a single promotion in US. V is already aware that the genre of music he is interested in is not for everyone. His fans are aware of this as well. He is not the fandom's favorite and he does not make songs in the genre of music that the fandom prefers.

Despite all this, his solo album was just as successful as Jimin's, if not more so. I don't consider it a real success that Jimin's solo fandom kept him on the HOT100 for months through blatant fraud. He's behind JK in physical album sales, and neither Jimin's first nor second solo albums have sold more copies. Not to mention, after Hanteo deleted the numbers for Layover's first week because HYBE said "there's not enough stock", the deleted numbers were magically added back two years later. It also debuted at number two on the Billboard 200 with 100+K sales despite not having done a single promotion.

Jung Kook - GOLDEN (2023) 2,438,483 copies

V - Layover (2023) 2,101,974 copies

Jimin's 1st Week Sales (Hanteo): 1,454,223 copies

Considering the genres V has released, we can say that the his streaming numbers are actually good. For example, MUSE currently has 2 billion 572 million streams, while Layover has 2 billion 268 million streams. MUSE's most-streamed song, Like Crazy, has 1.351 billion streams, while Layover's most-streamed song, Love Me Again, has 1.40 billion. And he did all of this without endless remixes, without being promoted on Spotify, without any of the advantages Bang gave the others, and despite making songs in the fandom's least favorite genre. Even the list below shows who has a balanced streams.

V most streamed songs - 19 April 2025

1. Winter Ahead (with PARK HYO SHIN) : 271,197,896 (+1,521,439)
2. FRI(END)S : 491,630,418 (+366,629)
3. Slow Dancing : 491,251,164 (+286,132)
4. Love Me Again : 1,040,410,999 (+250,785)
5. Christmas Tree : 444,273,420 (+134,072)

Jimin most streamed songs - 19 April 2025

1. Who : 1,616,982,729 (+3,149,969)
2. Be Mine : 231,617,211 (+389,837)
3. Like Crazy : 1,351,319,590 (+281,305)
4. Slow Dance (feat. Sofia Carson) : 92,390,927 (+211,687)
5. Smeraldo Garden Marching Band (feat. Loco) : 214,814,294 (+190,309)
