I think they will release a full album in either august or september, after the Europe leg. I think the last concert is July 30 in Rome.

Do you really think they will wait this long, since they have 2 Korean album releases planned for this year? The fact that by then, it will be over a year, since their last official Korean comeback

Jeongyeon with acting and MC gigs (she was very much active and energetic until 2020, there was plenty of time)

Jihyo and Jeongyeon in idol shows where they could showcase their vocals and allrounder skills

 

...like the possibilities were endless. I mean yeah nowadays they're finally starting to do individual stuff of their own and even doing brand deals & ambassadorships finally, but imagine how much momentum they've lost over the years where they could truly build their individual profiles to some other level. Not a lot of ggs can achieve the success and popularity that TWICE had during their peak, so jyp only had to utilize that momentum and opportunity to also build the individual profiles of the girls outside of the group unit.

Yes but consider this: One of the reasons why Twice continue as a group and have a strong bond is because of the group unity they had all these years. More individual opportuities also means less time for the group and more chances to get big and not wanting to renew

I get what y'all are saying, and I do agree that there are practical reasons why Nayeon and Jihyo are so prominent, they're both strong performers and vocally reliable. But even beyond that, there's still an undeniable imbalance in how screen time, lines, and center positions are distributed. TWICE's dynamic is different, JYPE didn't promote members individually until later, sure, but the favoritism within the songs was there from the beginning. It's not about solos or variety show gigs, I'm talking strictly about how group performances are structured.

 

I don't think being the face or center automatically justifies the extent of the difference. For example, Dahyun and Chaeyoung consistently get the least lines in title tracks, and Jeongyeon, despite having strong vocals, often gets pushed to the sidelines, especially in recent years. Even if Nayeon and Jihyo weren't individually promoted like Suzy, their presence within TWICE is still far more dominant than the rest. So while it may not be a Suzy-level favoritism outside the group, I think there's definitely an internal hierarchy when it comes to exposure. 

 

In short, Nayeon had crazy amount of exposure compared to the rest within TWICE content alone. Not even Suzy had this amount of exposure within Miss A songs. So yes, JYP still has his favorites.

 

 

 

 

Positions in kpop means everything. Being labeled as rapper meant u are hardstuck rapping for 90% of your group career even if u want to sing. Being the face means u are going to get the most screentime and individual opportunites for acting unless the public decided that the true visual is another member. CLC's Yeeun has a beautiful voice and she sings in solo songs now but she never did in CLC songs. There was simply no room for her and thats why u cant compare a 4 members group with a 7-9 members group.

 

 

Activities outside the group or semi group activities have more gravity than your role/presence in the group. Thats why u have T-ARA's main vocalist soyeon who almost always had the most lines in the songs claiming 10 years after that she never felt important or that she represents T-ARA, because outside of the singing it was always Jiyeon-Hyomin-Eunjung. Even when T-ARA had solos it was these 3 and not soyeon who got one .

The second album can be released in december or be a repackage idk

I doubt they will have time to promote two albums anyway.

 

They will be touring through almost the whole may, june and july. I prefer If they promote the first comeback of the year than the second or they will just lose hype

Well those commenters are idiots what Can I say, but there are deserving idols who deserve to sing way more than they are allowed to and who WILL deliver in even 6seconds of lines they are given because they want to sing

I think LSM gets too much credit for his "brilliance." He gets one idea and then tries desperately to make it happen, even if it means repeating himself. Remember how bad he wanted a rotation group like Morning Musume and he literally tried to make rotation groups a thing with Super Junior, SNSD, EXO and Red Velvet until he finally got NCT? 
 

Without netizens to whack him down or good directors like MHJ, he's never going to get far. Let's hope Sunny clocks him.
