Before their solos, I thought V was the most popular because of social media engagements. But I guess a lot of people outside of the fandom tend to like Taehyung only because well...he looks like that.

I think the type of music V has been choosing to make limits the commercial success, but I think the fact that his songs have still done relatively so well is a testament to his power. Like who else could make this winter jazz song continue charting in spring 

The most basic pop song he's released so far has been Friends, and it has almost 500M streams despite no promo lol. I think he could easily have a Like Crazy/Who level smash if he wants, maybe even a Seven if he picks the right song.

When looking at fancam views, social media engagements etc., V far surpasses every member. But yeah, he is indeed very successful, I was just expecting him to be the #1 soloist of his group instead of being #3. 

 

But then again, Jungkook was always the main member of BTS in terms of lines and company push, so it also makes sense why he's #1, especially with the very pop friendly music he's releasing.

For starters, SKZ's album units are wrong. Their total for physical units across their career is 29,911,355 for shipments. Chinese sales are counted separately as digital single sales on CM and their digital album sales are nominal.  There's no way they could have 30.64M sales across albums and singles when their shipments are at 29.911M.

 

On top of that, their streaming numbers are incorrect. If you search TWICE, TWICE are at 20.7B lead streams and SKZ are at 21.1B lead streams. But in the real world, TWICE have 9.76B Spotify streams, 3B Melon streams, 1B Genie streams, etc. SKZ have 10.44B Spotify streams but less than 1B streams across Melon and Genie combined. TWICE have better streaming on Pandora, YouTube Music, Apple Music, Naver, Line, Bugs, Soribada, etc. How could SKZ possibly have 400M more streams than TWICE when TWICE has a 3B lead on them alone from just two platforms?  

 

ChartMasters specifically tells you on the webpage to defer to their actual in-depth analysis instead of these quick streaming rankings because the streaming rankings are literal guesstimates using a formula.
