What happened to the H2H girls? zero noise during debut and still no noise months after

This is the group whose supposed to replace aespa

:suburban:

Definitely not meant to replace Aespa. I like that SM launched a group with a vastly different image and appeal because they really are not competition in the slightest. H2H is going to go for a more SNSD-route and try to switch up concepts every come back and sing Swedish pop songs.

And actually, The Chase is doing really well on digital and streaming and their comeback is in June.

SNSD came out gate swinging with ITNW who have way stronger vocalists and stand out members bfr

And SM hasn't shown anything worth praising for this group  :flower2:

I'm honestly surprised that Jungkook and Jimin are outperforming V commercially, considering V was by far the most popular member when BTS was active as a group.

It's a similar situation with Rosé and Jennie now outperforming Lisa, even though Lisa was easily the most popular member when BLACKPINK was actively promoting together.

Well V just didn't care at all, didn't really make commercial music for his solo, and just made music and dipped.

Lisa's case was just bad music. People were still supporting during Rockstar/New Woman/Moonlit Floor because those were actually pretty good.

It’s almost time for XG!

Obviously Aespa is bigger….:deadbanana2:

but that just comes with the times. NCT and Rizz sold 10x more then SNSD and EXO did during thier primes, Super-M charted on Billboard more times then them combined too. Are they more popular? 😆 it's just Because the market is several times bigger than it was just 10 years ago. Domestically and internationally. Perspective counts, GG didn't really have a song outside of Gee that was number 1 for only like 2 months straight. Hits today stay on melon for like 4-5 months. But Gee was bigger than pretty much any SM song ever. SNSD also tour wise is still on the all time list and more then every GG sm act by far and they barely left Japan for that.

TL;DR

SNSD is the PinkPrint and will remain the Face of SM's Golden Age

V is friends with MHJ

hybe definitely hates him and won't give him any support

jimin fraudulent

jungkook hit i think is really a hit but he had lots of promo to thank as well

the only reason they're keeping V is if he leaves, ratmy would go insane. Fat pig definitely hates him

Ugh I wish I could stay up to support XG but I got an early day :( But I wish the girls so much luck!!

idk what delulu aid yall drinking

snsd was the biggest from their generation, localspa aint even bigger than newjeans or less eras for him globally

every other GG has that "outsold snsd" badge now even babymonster, that just means kpop grew as a whole so we need to look at this relatively

snsd hitting 200k first week like nothing while most top GGs at the time struggled past 50k, that's different

ITNW and Gee are classics every survival show contestant should know by heart

did SYNK even outgross one of their japan tours even during the post-covid tour boom?

I wanna stay awake for XG’s full set but I’m so exhausted :noparty:

Edit: I guess this comment will serve as running commentary lol

Okay I just started seeing XG's performance, and wow looks like they are doing Hesonoo/X-Gene with all red outfits this time. I like these better than the white ones. Now again the backup dancers have the same colour as XG, however these outfits are less lost in the background so it works better.

Also they clearly heard the complaints about the backtrack being too loud. :cries2: They have bumped up the live vocals this time around, though I also notice they have toned down the choreo to compensate. It is a shame because choreo is one of their biggest strengths, but for a festival setting, it makes more sense to do this. Plus they did show it off during Week 1 at least.

They seem calmer in general. I think the nerves from last week's first-time Coachella performance aren't as strong this time. They looked more relaxed when introducing themselves.

Oh no! It seems they've axed "In the Rain"! That's a shame, especially since it's their latest single, but also understandable – their umbrellas just weren't cooperating in the wind last time around. The wind isn't as strong this week, but it's hard to predict. Will we get "Howling" instead?

OMG we are getting Mascara this time around to compensate for no In the Rain! :WAP:  The percussion sounds a bit odd; idk what happened. But they are slaying otherwise.

IYKYK definitely sounds live :cries2: I can hear their voices clearly (and fortunately not in a bad way). Especially Cocona, for whom the backtrack was turned up a lot last week. Though the rest of the production is much softer, at least in the stream.

I love that all their outfits have changed this time around, XG loves to serve different looks! I'm not sure whether I like Week 1 or Week 2 outfits better. Nice to see them interacting with the crowd more this week too.

Is This Love - their vocals while also live are kinda low, but they do sound great! And they made sure to go all out on the dance in the bridge. Excellent!

Harvey has pleasantly surprised me - she sounds so stable live, I though they were using backtrack for her.

New Dance was fun, more choreo-focused which makes sense. It's so funny to see them have both head mics and handheld ones.

Something Ain't Right is fun too! Better camera angles, and they are interacting with the camera nicely.

Aww, are we not getting Howling? I was hoping since they tweaked the set list we would get it this time around. They said right before Shooting Star that it would be the last song.

Shooting Star was amazing! The way they served looks at the end, they knew they did a great job! They were clearly within time so they could say thank you at the end, last time the ending was very abrupt lol.

Overall, I would say this was definitely an improvement over Week 1. More interaction with the crowd and camera, clearer live vocals, great outfits, and most importantly, they looked more confident and settled in their performance. I think the wind not being as harsh this time around helped too. The camera angles were better too! I don't know how much it's worth "addressing the haters" since they will always nitpick on social media, but I do like that they took in criticism, such as their live vocals not being heard in the mix. There were enough changes that it was nice watching both Week 1 and Week 2 performances.

As for critiques, there were times where the mics were a bit low, and they could still work on things like transitions between songs. I do like that they tried to tweak the choreography to have more live vocals, but I feel they could tweak things more for festivals like this where people expect minimal backtrack. Also, the staging is still bare, lol. It's a shame because their MV sets look so amazing. Also, WHERE IS HOWLING? It would have been so cool if they could have made the whole crowd howl. When I attended their concert, Howling translated live very well, and the crowd was howling like a big pack of wolves every few seconds, lol.

Great job girls, I am so happy for them! They said performing in Coachella was one of their big goals, and they finally did it :hippo:

I hope they come back in the future sometime!
