Gaga probably forgets Sour Candy & Blackpink even exists, idk why y'all are perched. The Blackpink feature was cooked up by Interscope, I doubt she cares.

UP is genuinely a good song so it deserves it's success. It's even more impressive she wrote it :clap3:

Not sure why SM is still so adamant on letting their artists to be involve more with their own music. They can still use those writing camps while letting this girls participate in the creative process  :coffee2:

Up's writing credits are another example of the huge k-pop writing credit scam :skull: They took an English demo, added some Korean, and suddenly Karina is the sole person credited for "Lyrics" while everyone who wrote all the English lyrics are relegated to a "Composer" credit instead of being properly credited for writing actual lyrics.

I need ASCAP or KOMCA to start an investigation stat because this fraudulence is getting out of hand and I guarantee people aren't being credited for their work.

Considering how strong they are at dancing it is criminal that we don't have the choreography video out for Is This Love.

I miss the days when they used to post Dance Practice videos with a fixed camera for all their songs. Now we might get a Choreo video but that's it.

It goes deeper than western demos. Teddy can't write a 2NE1-style track properly to save his life once the CL hard drive ran dry but she only had credit on like 2 songs. All her post-YG work is melodically and lyrically much closer to 2NE1 than the other attempts were.

Kenzie is also the CEO of stealing writing credit left right and center.

I also never told this story during my BP anti era because nobody would have believed me but a friend of a friend sent in an audition to YG as a producer and the beat drop to Pretty Savage was almost directly 1:1 copied from her. She's based out of Europe and was advised it wasn't worth legal action. Teddy Park is a total fraud and I think the gigantic leap in quality the black pink girls had once they weren't chained to him speaks for itself. He got extremely lucky being able to leech off of GD, CL, Choice, and 24 as long as he did.

You continually try to put this garbage group in the same level as those two, including in the line after this quote. Hypocrite.

I said they are one of the top groups right now, based on actual stats across touring, album sales, streams, global reach, social metrics, and brand demand. That's just factual. You twisting that into me putting them "on the same level" as BTS or claiming they're bigger is exactly what I meant by you building strawmen.

This lunatic deflection from somebody who just flings insults and makes blanket claims, I was the only one posting RECEIPTS.

What you call "blanket claims" from me are actually supported by real-world achievements (stadium tours, streaming numbers, global charting, sales etc.), while your "receipts" amount to personal opinions and constant moving of the goalposts. First it's "they have no hits," then it's "well album sales don't count," then "Spotify streams are fake," then "tours don't mean anything unless it's my fav." At some point, it becomes clear you just don't like them, and that's fine, but stop pretending your bias is some objective truth.

Anyways, Stray Global will continue to be successful and will continue to end your faves in almost every metric :clap3:

Any reasonable person understands that Stray Kids won gen 4 because it was an unmitigated disaster across the rest of the industry. The boy groups were permanently stuck in the shadow of SVT and BTS and all of the big 4 except for JYP fumbled their BGs hard.

aespa has an equally legitimate claim to 4th gen leaders on account of their mega hits, decent album sales, and also having A-list members just like SKZ, and I would consider aespa to also be a niche appeal act who greatly benefitted from all of their competitors shitting the bed except for IVE.

I'm also not "building a strawman" when you cannot stop mentioning them in the same breath as BTS and BP. You can't back up comparisons to my favs once we start talking about hits or Asian popularity so you have to bring up other groups.

Album sales are DOWN. Touring is DOWN. The biggest global kpop hits for a couple years in a row now were English songs with western collaborators. kpop is not in a good spot. In my opinion, NewJeans were the only real candidate for a proper BTS/SNSD style kpop generation leader and they were cut off.

SKZ only winning because YG, SM, and HYBE all had no properly supported bg contender doesn't mean that Stray Kids' achievements aren't impressive, it just means that they aren't carrying the torch and leading kpop. There has not been a group who has reached that level since 3rd gen.

My claims have been consistent from the first message in this entire exchange where I again, also put heat on my own favs. SKZ is entirely carried by whale fan hype. I have given more of my thoughts as well as given more stats, but the underlying claims have not shifted. They have no representative hits either domestically or abroad. It's not unimpressive that they're making a lot of money, but the amount of money that they make has nothing to do with their popularity as musicians or celebrities with the general public. I have never said that they're unsuccessful, I said they're unpopular. I even commended them for doing a LATAM tour where they probably aren't going to be making much money, just for their hundreds of thousands of fans. I used this exchange to try to educate on aspects of the industry and how/why decisions are made. I have been trying to reach some kind of understanding and all

you're continuing to do is make **** up. It's exhausting trying to engage in food faith with somebody who lies with every new thing they say.

I never said album sales don't count at all. But let me go into more detail as to why I personally don't take album sales to be the be all and end all. Bigbang's biggest hit outside of Asia has more streams/views on Western platforms than SKZ's. My fav's associated album(MADE) sold under one million copies and across the 3 tours for that album(a world tour, a Japan dome tour, and a limited stadium encore tour), they sold ~3.4 million tickets. When I say I witnessed changes in the way kpop was discussed because of media play this is what I mean. Notorious Zionist pedophile Park Jinyoung and his corporate sycophants would have you believe that because Stray Kids comes back every 3 months and has 4x the album sales, that Stray Kids is 4x more popular. The numbers don't match that though. I can point to metrics like global streams, domestic popularity, Asian popularity, and tour attendance where my favs either match or DESTROY SKZ. We all know bulk buying is an issue. aespa's album sold more than BEYONCE'S. :rip:

Another area where the numbers don't match is the streams. It's very odd that SKZ are consistently one of the top artists on Spotify but that they have zero hits. Other stan-driven artists like BTS or Taylor actually have songs that reach far past their fanbase and this is reflected in the individual numbers. I looked and could not find a single other example of an artist with this issue. aespa already has two songs on track to surpass everything SKZ ever did outside of Korea with half the album sales and while primarily touring arenas.

Unless you want to pretend that albums which we all know are purchased in bulk by cbars and whale fans who are trading idol selfies like pokemon cards and desperately trying to rig their chance at getting a virtual m&g with their parasocial boyfriend/girlfriend are a better representation of how popular the music is than the streaming services people use to listen to music, you have no leg to stand on here.

Kpop is in an era where there is next to no correlation between sales, streams, and real world popularity because the first two categories are easily manipulated. Stray Kids is probably drawing in much more money than my favs are currently, and if you want to talk about the stock market instead of music careers, then SKZ 1000% wins. That's not what I'm interested in and I think that focus is actually proving to be extremely toxic to kpop as a whole with global popularity looking like it will fall off a cliff once BTS and BP disband down the road.

All of this without going deep into the point that SKZ are borderline nugu tier in South Korea where literally every other top group effortlessly collects hits.

They have been around longer than my 4th gen favs who are still on pace to surpass them in the long run. SKZ was not doing as well in their 4th year as aespa did, that's not up for debate, not by any metric. Kpop groups have a predictable shelf life and career trajectory, it's not hard to see exactly when they will pass SKZ and how.

As for my 2nd Gen favs who you cannot stop disrespecting on a completely delusional level, I think I already covered that pretty well in this novel length post. The metrics my fav is being destroyed in are artificially inflated.

I backed up what I said with historical evidence, you called me a liar. I said ask any Brazilian kpop fans, you said I was old and delusional. A Brazilian Stay came into the thread and both validated what I said about that touring market and the state of 4th gen, but also maintained that SKZ is currently a top group, to which I agreed and it was a totally respectful back and forth because neither of us are vile trolls. This then sent you into a meltdown full of lies about me and what I said where you retroactively tried to claim the stances you were previously calling me a liar for holding.

It is still beyond me how you can openly admit to wanting to instigate and perpetuate fanwars 24/7, disrespect us by throwing out names like demon and antichrist to people just for liking groups that you don't, and constantly abuse the fact that nobody cares enough to backread your pages long arguments to see all of the bold faced lying and post hiding you do(or used to be able to do) but are still somehow welcome in this base. It's exhausting.

You're simply just bitter cause SKZ absolutely destroyed NCT and became the face of experimental music while leaving your NCT faves in the dust and shadows, despite SM trying everything to make them happen :rip:

NewJeans between 2022-2023 was the only 4th gen group who was bigger than SKZ.

But yes, SKZ aren't in the typical Kpop spaces and bubbles especially in gg spaces like ATRL. But they are clearly above every 4th gen group.
