Hybe is the biggest Kpop company at the center of the biggest Kpop scandals ever, with Newjeans, with MHJ, with their criminal case. This is the elephant in the room that stirred poop all over Kpop for almost 2 years now. People are going to talk about it. Yes, it was more fun before, that's obvious. This has been a net negative to the Kpop community EVERYWHERE.

It insane how much impact NJ had in such a short time. They only had 5 physical releases and will still go down as top 5 biggest Kpop ggs of all time

You all know me by now; I don't usually feel the need to speak up unless something truly bothers me. But this one-sided hate directed at ILLIT girls is starting to bother me. I don't know why they can't focus on things without dragging up with other groups and idols but honestly, I'm tired of all this NJ vs. HYBE vs. MHJ stuff. I don't even share news about them anymore.

The thing that annoys me most is the hate that the female idols are getting. I can understand hating HYBE and calling out certain members of their team, but ILLIT are getting dragged left-and-right and they're literally just 5 pretty, young girls with exceptional dance talent who are trying to live their dreams. K-pop fans (and people, in general) always seem to transfer the hate from a corporation to undeserving female artists. Obviously it happens with every company, but ILLIT seems to be the punching bag right now and the girls have literally been nothing but nice and professional.

I have a feeling she's mad as hell with that pen after lukewarm comebacks for a while now. This tour is the first one where they'll get paid properly after their tour renewal so I feel like they're going to put everything into their 3rd studio album.

This thread used to be a place where you could actually have discussions that go beyond "___ bad" twitter pr narratives set by the big 3, but everybody who does that was systematically driven out of the base by corporate sycophants who think their blind loyalty to record labels will in some way move the needle on the discourse, so now it's just twitter updates and people parroting the same thoughtless slop you'd see in the replies under the tweets that are already being posted. I'm used to them basically releasing the whole EP as pre-singles, so it feels weird that we have had only Gala and the Jurin solo track which may not even be on the full album.

Honestly, I don't think its right to make personal jabs at the members because they don't really have autonomy when it comes to their concepts and creative direction - they're a kpop group. They aren't the ones to truly be upset with. However I know in my case, I have zero interest in listening to them / any Hybe group for that matter as it further fuels them, their monopoly, and worst of all pays the bills for their campaign against New Jeans.

This. It's beyond evil that these girls have done nothing wrong, but have been absolutely trashed in the media for over two years now by a conglomerate backed by a massive PR firm… How can we not talk about it? It's literally in the thread title. This has cast a dark shadow over the entire industry and it shows.

The girls are suffering. We haven't heard from Haerin or Hyein for almost a year now. HYBE/Belift is currently bleeding their aesthetics and imagery dry while keeping the girls in limbo. And we can't even call it out when people deny that it's happening in plain sight

Colourful outfits and Hip Hop dance breaks were promised to NewJeans 3000 years ago.

No other groups have the right to do those things.
