It was awful. The fun thing is that aespa stans in here are all nitpicky when it comes to other groups' performances, and have repeatedly done so especifically to a group who's still in their rookie year because they can't reach the oh-so-immaculate stage presence of aespa.

And now suddenly ya'll are not so demanding with live stages anymore and can't call a bad performance a bad performance. Guys, it's okay to just admit our biases sometimes.

TBH it's good morning America even BP's performance was bad (my girls were dragged to hell)  but they killed at Coachella

Lol at the overreactions to aespa's GMA performance. It was okay. Not their best performance but not a disaster either.

Though, idk why SM is suddenly rushing to push them in the U.S. again all of a sudden. They literally only announced the Capitol deal officially last week. Personally, I feel like they should've planned this better and waited till the next comeback to launch all these promotions. The timing is off.

Yeah, I was expecting something horrible and it was just like most kpop performances in the West: lackluster.

They should have prepared hand mics. It would have made a difference.

They are clocking in that 14 dollars per hour rate job :clownny:

When will a group ditch the inkigayo performance in America, either do an other version of the choreography instead of having a member standing there... Or either just ditch the entire choreography and doing the song with handed microphones just vibing... aespa could have gone full POWERVOCAL. They are a group who actually CAN do it.

They are saving sm good grace Can sing (live) Can dance Can visual Thats a triple treat:clap3:

Enjoying my Dunkin's original iced coffee with 3 butter pecan, almond milk, and sweet cold foam.

THIS! just do a fun hand held mic/encore style performance, maybe some choreo for the chorus, interact with the crowd and it'll be fine!

Nah…Dirty Work was given the single treatment over this? I'll never believe it.

That Aespa performance and song choice were bad :deadbanana4:!

I think SM is trying to sabotaging them this year!

Something about this song gives bitter sweet vibes so I get it

Thank you to Eric Nam... This guy is a mystery to me, how can a guy like him always be on production on songs like these when none of his songs are like that...

Like he co-written, co-composed and participated on the arrangement of her entire project.

He also did write and co-produced this song back in the say and that shocked me

Happy Friday K-Pop fans. Here is my daily SNSD is the Pinkprint post

Honestly, it's really hard for a small girl group to put out a good performance with no props, special effects or background dancers. Not everybody has H1-KEY's natural talent and that's okay.

He has this song, which is kinda a darker version of that Dayoung song?

But yeah, usually he's very boring for some reason.

This is one of the biggest issues with K-pop performances in the US that I have noticed. K-pop groups are used to performing for the camera and not the live audience, hence why members can hide and wait at the sideline while the rest are performing etc., while American broadcast styles are filmed very differently such as having zoom outs most of the time. That mismatch often results in awkward moments like this:

Yeah the music show kind of performance just doesn't cut it in western tv. Kpop choreographies today are made with camera angles in mind and outside of korean music shows you're not gonna get that optimal angle (and Rich Man's choreography is also very ugly). Plus what is the point of them singing live in loco if 99% of the people who are gonna watch the performance are gonna see it through the internet and not in person so they're gonna see it with the studio version slapped over it which is basically lip syncing?

Wait, why are they saying the admin of Pannchoa is an alt-right N*zi sympathizer :deadbanana2:

look at their X account:deadbanana2: they retweeted some stuff about charlie kirk

I don't think K-Pop companies will ever realize that they can't just copy&paste their Korean music show performances over to western television. It just doesn't work.

Guaranteed to look like shit, sound like shit, and smell like shit. Pure shit.
