 They performed at SXSW and did a few early new media spots but the rest of your post is on the money.

 

The way this is basically a better version of that aespa GMA embarrassment. Same budget and lack of prep. But one of them looked like a group of superstars ready to take the world on and the other was aespa. f(x) were by far the worst SM act at live performing during this era too(other than the one we don't discuss). I'm really over aespa's terrible musical output and worse performances. One of the best idol group lineups of the decade and SM has gone nowhere but downhill with them since LSM was forced out.

Also Giselle's Mark Lee impersonation on Rich Man might just be the most embarrassing thing I have ever seen from a main kpop group. SM saw these girls get the tiniest hint of clout and immediately forced them to take the "safe" option of acting like their previous breadwinner, NCT, as if NCT wasn't a T O T A L   F A I L U R E  compared to their predecessors relative to the rest of the idol industry in every single market on planet earth.

I love how unique they each look too and as a group as well as individuals. Like you can't confuse one for the other.

You can call a performance bad, but a complete drag fest is drama.mp3 central.

 

Those girls spent a week promoting Rich Man in Korea, got dragged to NYC for a performance with no dancers and lighting as basic as a dentist's office all while preparing for their next tour dates.

 

Acting like the world is crumbling cause of bad GMA performance and completely ignoring the great performances they gave the prior week.

I really love the choreo for Color. It's stronger than Surf, which also had solid choreo.

 

 

 

I know what they were going for in this performance with the styling, but I think they missed an opportunity to go viral.

 

One of the members should have left the stage, come back with a paint gun, and started decorating all their clothes.

Sometimes I throw Red light on and remember what F(x) could have been. The fact that's not even their best album, or 2nd best… Like SM really was that Girl.

Open the SNSD and F(x) vault. There are hundreds of Demos SM owns they can just update with a few modern touches and it be better then the mess they give Dear Alice and Riize. SM needs to ditch Trap and hyperpop and go back to thier ElectroSythn pop sound.

They've been sucking **** live all year. They've had like 2 good sets where they sang live in the past year. They debuted half a decade ago they should be capable of doing a 2 hour show without lip-syncing the entire thing. There's artists that write ALL of their music and can hold the stage by themselves for 2 hours at a time. They come from a company who is known to be consumate professionals live and they look bad by comparison. Even Riize has been singing like more and their songs are much harder choreo wise. Making excuses for mediocre comebacks and live performances isn't good when they charge fans out the ass for tour tickets and put the bare minimum in musically. People **** on Blackpink CONSTANTLY in here and I don't really like them but they're at least singing live. 

About to get quoted in like 3 hours when a certain user wakes up and says "no actually they were singing live" and the only audible member is Winter because she tries the hardest.

No joke, SM was at its best when it wasn't trying so hard to look and sound innovative. It was creating a good pop song first and adding a twist or an edge to it second. I really thought they correcting its course last year, but I guess it was a fluke.
