I think it's also a general issue with the lyrics itself. I don't like them and they don't flow well.

 

Personally, I think they should've pulled a RV and kept the original demo lyrics for the English ver. The original lyrics flowed and sounded much better than these rewritten ones. 

 

Strangely it sounds like they took the Korean parts out and just added in random English phrases to make this version and for me...it doesn't work.

This is one of the biggest issues with K-pop performances in the US that I have noticed. K-pop groups are used to performing for the camera and not the live audience, hence why members can hide and wait at the sideline while the rest are performing etc., while American broadcast styles are filmed very differently such as having zoom outs most of the time. That mismatch often results in awkward moments like this:
