Who else could make DWAS smash?

Featured Replies

Let's pretend Gaga turned down DWAS. Bruno quickly writes up a second verse if needed. He then goes through the pop girl phone book and called up the other girlies to duet with him on DWAS. Who else could pull off the song and make it the smash that it currently is? Ariana? Adele? Beyonce? Rihanna? Katy? Taylor? Anyone?? Nobody?

all of them.

Gaga is the perfect fit imo but everyone in the OP sans Miss Hudson could record a nice enough version that sees decent commercial success

Gaga's verse is cute but I think Adele would make the song even better and a bigger hit

I honestly could only see Beyonce pulling the powerhouse vocals Gaga delivers on DWAS. But then again Gaga's singing style works so well with the song. Maybe Adele, but I'm a 100% sure Adele + Bruno would make a totally different song (Same with Ari).

Tbh, both Bruno and Gaga complement each other so good I couldn't see how any of these artist would bring up the same magic as they did. Maybe something different and as good, but never the same.

Success wise Ri, Adele, Tay would've been a sure hit. Ari, Beyonce would've depended on how it clicked, but at the very least a decent hit.

Literally anybody else to ever pick up a microphone. All the song needed was Bruno :rip:

Bruno and Adele would be cool and they've worked together before

Adele would lowkey overpower him tho :thing:

Honestly, I really can't see anyone replacing her successfully. DWAS was designed to be sung only by Gags as its female lead, and the perfect match between her and Bruno's voices is what makes it so great.

Also, what really helped the song lauch itself to its smashery is also the semplicity of its music video, with the Gaga's dancebreak being one of its more (if not the most) replayed moment.

So yeah, guess Bruno was right by saying #ThankYouGaga

Bruno would have made hits with any of them tbh, but for that same song DWAS, I guess Ariana, Kelly Clarkson and Adele would have done well.

Nobody else. The GP associates Gaga with TALENT, VOCAL DELIVERY, and PERFORMANCE. It is quintessential theatre.

Maybe Christina for the nostalgia factor.

No shade to the others but i can only see Gaga singing that song

Anyone, he could have chosen any other past their prime girlie and it would have worked. I can see Alicia Keys, Pink, Xtina… it's an easy plug in.

The song was created by and for Bruno and it totally sounds like a Bruno Mars song. If we're being honest the song would have still been very successful as solo or as a collab with anyone else

My answer is it works as a duet. Solo would be a hit but not as big. And a big part of why it hit us because both artist sing it well. Thus, Adele, Ariana, Beyonce, Miley, pink, Kelly Clarkson and anyone else who can sing well.

Artists like Rihanna, Britney, Katy, Taylor etc wouldn't work, though Rihanna and Taylor name alone can propel it
