She's the real blueprint for a lot of these pop stars. The Velvet Rope on its own clears most main pop girl discographies with ease!!

  • Listen to her album run from Control-Damita Jo it's incredible

    You'd probably enjoy these.

I LOVE Janet. I only got into her this past decade but i  listened thoroughly to her entire discography :gaycat5:

listen to All nite if u want to shake your ass, That's the way love goes for R&b excellence or Together Again for a feel good bop :gaycat5:

This queen remains one of the most important pop acts of all time for a reason :jonnycat:

Well it's not what people usually mention when praising Janet but I do love this underrated sexy jam

she has an impeccable discography.

start with Control & RN, thats the most accessible.

then i'd say All For You and Damita Jo.

then Velvet Rope (her opus) once you understand her vibe

then end it off with janet. which is probably her least accessible and deepest record.

then u can have fun with her 00s-10s records like Discipline, 20YO, and Unbreakable.

Well thank god for that. Her legacy is so buried when you go back and discover her catalogue it's insane. Especially her 80s and 90s output. Idk why people gave a **** about her pedo brother, she's the one.

Allah For You the timeless bop you are :jonny:

Check out her follow-up single Someone To Call My Lover :jamming:

I got into her with Control, personally

Yeah same. The way it's very much of its time yet……timeless and fresh? If that makes any sense :skull: it's so well written and has some of the best pop bops of all time.

That's the way love goes featuring Jennifer Lopez, hits like a truck if you have a great sound system.

The production choices are very 90's, yes. But they are great from a technical standpoint that they still sound amazing :giraffe:

if you like Britney then you'll 100% like Janet. Brit's entire early career is basically a JJ tribute act (especially the Britney and ITZ era)

Well I'm glad you woke up from your slumber.

After you venture further, come back and tell us what your favorite song/s or album is so far.

Rock With U went quadruple platinum in my house! Should've gotten the same push that Feedback got tbh.
