Britney Spears posts about Israel

In context with the time period in which this was taken, yes, it is plausible that she was a bush supporter. This is the same time period where the rebellious icons the Dixie Chicks were being lambasted for asking for an end to the bloodshed. Unlike those courageous girls, Britney was on Crossfire with Tucker Carleson supporting the then President George Bush and everything he had done. She played her role as a public figure and secured more support for Bush presidency.

And if you want to play that game,  Destiny's Child and Ricky Martin also performed at Bush's inauguration but I wouldn't call either of them Republicans. It shows that ATRL posters only use these arguments for stan wars more than anything else.

I guess you don't know.

I do know. Two decades ago, at 20 years old, she said she trusts the president when unexpectedly asked in an interview. At that time, most of the American people trusted that president and supported that war, based on lies told by the administration that hadn't been exposed yet. Not sure why you thought that was relevant to dredge up as an attempted attack on her.

Bless her heart. Doesn't she have a shiny dress or some knives to keep her entertained?

I think it's a reach to call her an outright Bush supporter but to each their own

Obviously. I think I read Bush 2004 was the only time a republican has won the popular vote in 30 years. The entire country supported him after 9/11 but of course trust OBH to try and twist facts from a 2024 lens.

Yall talk all this crap about Britney but god forbid we lose her or if we lost her years ago alot of yall would switch like the 2 faced b**ches you are.

Half of yall wish to succeed through adversity like she has. Shes not dumb. Shes traumatized and going through alot but shes not an idiot. I hateeee how yall treat people with mental health struggles.

Edit - and this post of mine is specifically aimed at those saying "no lights on" , "nurse" , "call the doctor" , ect.

And when will the time ever be right? It wont ever be right.

Britney isnt as dumb as you all think. And she watched the news. Shes not some ditzy blonde that doesnt understand war.

Shes also a very faith filled person.

This genocide has been very very hard on those who used to love israel and think its the holy land, ect. Its gonna take time for religious based people to reconcile the loss of what theyve always believed to be true

Girl… the delusion sjdjdjdhjd

she has little no clue what's actually going on over there be real with yourself pls

and I'm not even calling her stupid here but she obviously has a lot of (understandable) mental health issues and it's pretty clear from the way she posts that she's not someone well-informed on global events

The amount of people infantilising this soon-to-be 43 year old woman :deadbanana: I'm baffled

So what is it with her, is she not bright, out of touch, a troll, or what?

How did this get to 8 pages, it's like some people just want to make everything she says and does into some big scandal when it's clearly not even thread worthy.

its such a joke lol

pretty much any other popstar is allowed to be dragged (Taylor, Gaga, Katy, etc) but Britney (who is older than all of them) has to be coddled and treated like a five year old

Who exactly is coddling her? People are fully calling her crazy, stupid, "nurse" with no repercussions. What more do you want? Do you want her to be shot because she posted about the inside of a church?

oh this is not... and the fact that some members are kinda dismissing this post as a "confusing" "praising architecture" etc kind post is ridiculous. get your heads outta your arses folks. I like Brit, but nahhh this is just bad x

Her post isn't about politics/war though, it's a photo of old architecture.

At these times that we're living in though?

She posted about church that happened to be in Israel. A church thats been there well before israel was a thing.

I feel like so many people in this thread need some 101 info on how to treat people with mental health issues. Obviously I don't know this for a fact, and even though I read her book I can't remember what she said about it, if anything.

What's clear is that, due to the traumatic circumstances of her being in the conservatorship and being thrust on stage and into the spotlight for YEARS thanks to her abomination of a father, she has developed some intense mental health issues. When people have mental health issues, we do not treat them as stupid or infantile, and we do not dismiss their brilliance and talents. We know Britney Spears was an incredible performer in her prime and held the world's attention for well over a decade. We also know she is no longer in that same place, and has clearly shown via her instagram to be in a very different mental and physical state to her pop star peers.

We don't need to treat her like an idiot, but we must recognize her unique situation and mental health issues. I think all Britney fans know she is capable of brilliance and to perform and sing again if she ever chose to but clearly her days of trying to present a perfect, manufactured image to the public are over. Facts are Israel does have beautiful cities and architecture and to pretend otherwise is stupid. Personally, I think celebrities who say nothing are far worse than those who perhaps misstep but have good intentions.

Don't be naive. Anyone who follows her content ever since got release from con  knows that she is always trying to troll social discurse.

And, more often than not, it's unhinged and tone deaf.
According to her fans "she knows what's she's doing"  applies to this as well.

yes, she knows she's trolling and she enjoys it.

Yeah I can't defend her over this but hey! good for her for liking architecture I guess

Can you present examples of Britney posting about politics and world events? I'll wait.

Why do people care so much? She literally didn't even say anything remotely political

I'm sorry, but this is entirely innocuous.  Are we supposed to go feral every time someone acknowledges Israel exists, whether you think it should or not?

She committed vague thought crimes against the current omnicause I fear. It's essential that she be tried in the court of public opinion
