Normally I would agree with you, but Bernie is not like the rest of Democrats in office. Bernie needs to use his position as both a Jewish senator and one of, if not most, popular elected official in the Democratic Party to change the messaging. Not calling for an arms embargo is not it. Not calling for sanctions is not it. STILL repeating "Israel has a right to defend itself" 18 months into genocide as if both Israelis and Palestinians are in the same level of destruction is not it. Continuing to put the blame on Netanyahu and not Israel policy since creation is not it. Ignoring the giant Free Palestine sign behind him, then allowing security to kick them out, then ignoring a huge chant in support of the folks being kicked out while KNOWING the assistance of Democrats and Biden of such crimes is a HUGE reason many people don't trust the Democratic Party anymore (and possibly never again), is not it. There is nothing Bernie can do when it comes to being critical of Israel as a whole that will put him in negative waters with the Democratic Party base.
