Why are artists not supporting Katy's comeback?

Featured Replies

Just looking at her activity on social, other than Doechii and Kim P (for obvious reasons), I don't see any artists supporting her comeback.

why is that? I thought she had some strong connections in the industry but it feels her peers don't agree with her comeback decisions…

Taylor warned us that she's a mean girl back in 2014 and you all wanted to paint Saintlor as the bad guy.

Because everyone's seeing her for what she is now

To be fair even her instagram reach looks to be a disaster.. 200m followers but she can't even get 1m likes on her comeback posts :rip:

She is universally hated, we all know why we as non-industry people hate her but I would like to know the inside tea of why her peers hate her now too.

Also seeing the immense backlash and general disgust by all of the news outlets today...WHAT HAS SHE DONE THAT WE DON'T KNOW ABOUT...yet

Did her fellow American Idol idols she was with for 7/8 years not say anything at all?

The friendships and support of the early 10s artists had for each other was transactional and fake anyways.

If this song smashed and debuted #1, I'm sure many celebrities would've publicly supported the album and boasted about how Katy has always been the queen of pop and she's brought fun back to pop.

Why would they? Basically every peer of her despises the producer of that song :coffee2:

"You all"...excuse you?

Because it's Dr.luke.

gaga and Kesha are friends and the world picked who side they are.

katy picked Dr.luke side in that situation now everyone knows who team she decided to join.

Who would dare to show support when the morally superior users of the interweb have already decided for them?

Any artist supporting Katy right now has nothing to gain, and everything to lose. Until the outrage about releasing a Dr. Luke single cools, there is no benefit to anyone supporting Katy.

And unfortunately for her, she wasn't known to be a supportive artist in the past so no celebrity feels the need to stand by someone who never went out on a limb to help them. Support is reciprocal. I can't think of any artist that Katy befriended or supported back in her prime. She was always about herself.

Girl, she had to buy the likes she's currently getting. Had she not, each of these posts would be like 50k on twitter.

Yeah I get that, but I'm just talking about the basic like and comments on posts… you just don't get any big names liking her posts and it seems none of her peers are even interested in her come back. Like a good example would be ariana grande who's always supportive of her peers and engaging on posts, but you just don't see that on Katy's posts…!

I really wonder if this affected Katy's relationship with Gaga and Taylor. They seemed to be on really good terms

I mean this is not fair to say.. I can give you one good example, Katy has always been nice to Ariana, supported her with the Manchester concert… also Gaga, I've seen Katy being very supportive, I think she even showed up to one of her Vegas shows. She attended Beyonce's and Taylor's concerts… if anything I think Katy has been more involved in her peers eras than any of our faves have lol
