BMS was almost a whole decade late to the Retro House sound and had it actually debuted while that era was around it still would have sounded dated.

Well, there are qualities in all 4 songs that i love. These are all amazing songs, i love this sound.

The next artist i'm aware of that hopped on this trend is Dua Lipa.

You know Whatcha Doin was written and recorded before Espresso right?

 

Also Espresso didnt bring back the sound, more like it extended the countless lists of songs of this style which came after comeback of heavy funk-bass songs such as "Say So" and then Future Nostalgia.

Yes. I know there are many songs in this style. But Say So doesn't sound quite as close to or as quality as the ones i posted.
