Adele winning the poll is not surprising to me but it's not like she's released many albums either. Beyoncé also was a bit stuck in the same sound for three albums before switching it up, Taylor did as many albums in the country genre as Adele has to date.

P!nk's racially ambiguous era I think already puts her above some people. She's done R&B, Pop, Rock, Adult Contemporary, a bit of country, and has a folk side project.

Not people voting for Gaga when not only she has successfully delivered different genres, from dance-electro to standard jazz to classic hac ballads, but she even successfully transitioned into a different field.

It's objectively Adele out of everyone on this list. She's one (very great) note

but to answer OP's question: Britney as she cannot sing or dance (anymore) nor does she write or produce her own songs...so to quote Bianca Del Rio, what can she do by herself successfully? Quickly. If not given extensive help from her label?

Adele (but she absolutely blows the door of its hinges in her field) and Britney (she… was around for a lot but didn't really evolve or even explore her sound very much, I feel).

Lana tends to sound roughly the same to me on all her albums, too, but I guess there's versatility in her other stuff.

I don't think some people here know what versatility even means

If it's genre versatility it's Adele. She makes one type of song (very well mind you)

If it's versatility in what they can do, the answer is Britney as she can only do choreo (and not very well anymore).

well she does have rolling in the deep. i dont think shes comfortable going anymore uptempo.
