you can tell how unserious atrl is when you see all these votes for taylor as it was probably intended by the thread... the girl who have done so many different styles from country to folk to pop, can write kids music but also songs you'd need a thesaurus for, but we are supposed to believe she is not versatile because she's finally found a sound and writing style she seems to love and wants to explore instead of thinking about the dusty stan twitter and atrl bottoms who'd criticise her for not switching up her sound for every album cycle cause that was the expectation placed on her that she had to meet when she was young in the industry... atrl you will never not be dumb i fear

I can take several songs off her albums, put in others in her discography, and someone who doesn't know her would never find it odd lol

Adele and Katy...you kinda already know what to expect before you get into their albums. Lana served extreme versatility and impact to boot from BTD to UV alone.

She has done (in good measure) R&B and alt r&b, gospel, 70s soul, pop, latin pop, house (google "Queen of Remixes" btw), disco, jazz, has an entire alt rock album, adult contemporary, holiday (based in 60s pop and gospel), hip hop, country, reggae. She's additionally the artist primarily credited for merging mainstream genres and the pop and hip-hop meld that is still popular today. Let's please use our brains.

that's called having an artistic identity sweetheart, and not relying on writing camps or producers for completely different styles to never build up an actual musical identity of your own. when people hear a lana song, they know it's a lana song. she has a brand. she has a style. and none of her albums sound anything alike, the girl went from hip-hop inspired orchestral pop songs to a bluesy psychedelic rock pop album with her debut to sophomore and everyone was shook, if that's not versatility then what is? be serious.
