Usher hasn’t had a listenable album since Here I Stand lol and this one is on par that. Its

not great but it’s good for Ushers terms…

How are the streams on Spotify? 

It was a mistake to not add R&B hit "GLU" and social media track "Boyfriend" to this album. He needs EVERY stream he can get. Especially with Morgan Wallen, Taylor's album armada, SZA, and The Weeknd (w/ his expanded Greatest Hits) expected to take up long-term space in the Top 10 moving forward.

It should have replace some of the filler tracks & the album should be 15 or less.

Don't Waste My Time featuring Elle Mai, Sex Beat featuring Lil Jon and Ludacris, I Cry, Bad Habits too tbqfh cause those songs were great too

It’s too early give it time 

If usher replaced Bop with one of his singles he didn’t add to the album like “Boyfrined” or “GLU” & ended the album at luckiest man the album would be 10 out of 10.

Everything after luckiest man is straight up trash.

I wanted those songs too (because some of them would've better provided a Confessions 2 feel), but then I realized he released them back when he was still on RCA.

 

I'm sure there would be lots of red tape and paperwork to bring those over to a new album at a new label.

I'm liking different songs from most of you. I like Please U, Bop and Ruin. 4 last songs are trash. There are way too much fillers. A 13 track album could've been much better. The main problem is most of the songs are good album tracks but none of them really stand out. Maybe there are some growers on It.

 

What's a grown a** man like him doing singing lyrics like On The Side?

Did his new album get a bump thanks to the Superbowl?

Well, Good Good made it to the Spotify US charts today.

He IS charting some songs on AM US and the album is #02 on AM US

A-Town Girl is climbing up ITunes US main chart 

I need to give it a few more spins, but for now it’s definitely his weakest album in a while. ‘looking 4 myself’ was amazing and ‘hard II love’ had so many bops as well. this one sounds rushed and bloated unfortunately.

He more than doubled the sales of Hard II Love, which is great. He’s 3k away from #2. I need to do just one little thing of promo on tv for this album. Just do anything… but mention the album. 

My absolute fav is "I Am The Party", but I also love "Ruin", "Margiela", "Please U" & "One of Them Ones".

after a week of listening there’s a really solid EP hidden in this mess of an album. personally, i think it was really stupid of him to release this right before the Super Bowl without making sure he had a solid single that he could’ve also performed for at least 30 seconds during the show.

I'm inclined to agree with you about most of this. I actually think there's a really cute 10-12 track album in here. He/his team were ironically trying to play the streaming game of long albums when his sales composition was always going tto made up of mainly pure units anyway. 

 

Also, in hindsight, they definitely shouldn't have bothered dropping the album before the SB. 

 

On paper, it read like such a flex and probably the smartest use of the platform from a headliner in a long while. 

 

But if he knew he wasn't going to perform any material from it during Halftime, he would have been better off holding off the release until the week/s after and snatch some more presales. 

 

At the same time, I think the clear win (and money maker) for him is the tour. And sales for that are flying, so it's all good. Just wish the album didn't feel like such an afterthought/side-venture in the process of it all.
