I’m so looking forward to this album but I really wish he hadn’t of included those H.E.R. and Jung Kook songs. :doc:

I sure hope there is no major competition because i can't wait to update my stats and he becomes the 3rd male artist in history to have #1 singles and albums in 3 decades.

Come through, Coming home!!!:hippo:

His team took the hint about the tracking week. Album is now confirmed to be coming February 9th instead of the original Sunday, Feb 11th release date:

Good Good is #32 on this week's Billboard Hot 100 in its' 21st week on the chart. Usher pushed up the album's release date to the Friday before the Super Bowl, February 9th, so he'll have the full tracking week with physicals shipping on Feb. 9th as well. He also changed the album cover to match the physical copies, though he made the cover for streaming services textless and it looks amazing! His best album cover in awhile! All of his other albums have animated covers on Apple Music and they're currently tagged as being available in Dolby Atmos if you download them, but they're not yet updated to Dolby Atmos, so that will most likely happen the week of the Super Bowl like Apple Music did for Rihanna.

yes, I like this one better. that lettering was a lazy research of the confessions garamond type. lol

good good did nothing for me, but I like the other two tracks. he's one of the few male artists who can put out a consistent record nowadays.

It’s wild how much of difference removing the font and zooming out just a bit completed perfected this cover. It definitely is his best album since Confessions.

are some of you saying people should feel obligated to create an entire album just to tie in with a performance that generally would be 90% catalog hits anyway?

Yes, especially for legacy artists. That's the last fuel they'll ever get for commercial viability.

cover is giving me tank sex love and pain II vibes, hot!

new single is out midnight local time

i wonder if he's performing this one over risk it all at superbowl

just listened to the preview on apple music and it's a soft midtempo. doesn't sound like an exciting addition to the superbowl setlist tbh.

Sounds more exciting than Risk It All

I agree!

but I like risk it all. the video just made it overdramatic.

It’s very nice song and I think the video works, but I think moving onto Ruin and putting his energy into promoting that (even at the SB) would be better than still trying to make Risk It All happen.

It’s the Raymond v Raymond stans who want him to just do another album mixed with R&B and Pop. Thank God none of these people are A&Rs. They’d be incapable of making a cohesive quality controlled album if their lives depended on it.

that album wasn't bad at all and had hits what's the issue with finding a balance and satisfying everyone? you can still deliver a cohesive body of work while exploring different sounds

really curious about these

Really invested in this a) being good and b) doing well (or as well as can be in context).

Slightly nervous on both fronts.

LOVE Good Good, but really thought they were launching with a slow jam to ramp it up for single #2). Ruin is a solidly smooth album track; it's not obvious single material.

(Kind of indifferent to Standing Next to You and Risk It All being on there. They aren't single-singles and he's playing the streaming game with that long a** tracklist)

My gripe at the moment is the features. He has goodwill, but hasn't been an album seller in over a decade. So, he needs big features (or at least solid streamers like Summer and 21) to give him a streaming lift. Where are the Drake, Cardi, Megan...hell even Nicki collabs? Bieber? SZA? I'm not buying that he doesn't have the cool factor or bandwidth to rope a few of them in.

Most of the features present as him helping the profile of those featured not the other way around.

I get the sense his team is reserving the budget for radio (which is what worked for Good Good) or maybe something TikTok-related for a track on the album). I just wish they gave themselves an organic chance to slay by way of a big set of features. IMO, it's a good investment.
