  • This album aged like wine, the backing vocals and the vocals in general are heavenly. She was feeling herself and working with people who respect her (in the studio at least) and you could tell.

this alone made the album age well. besides that, the album is a 10/10 and still sounds fresh  man on the moon slays

Not sure about the whole album but Make Me really aged well. That sh*t is so good I am confused why it didn't smash.

Not many people on here are willing to recognize what an achievement this album was when she was going through the abusive conservatorship at the time. The imagery with cages, it didn’t all come together due to interference with Team Con but I can’t imagine any of her critics being able to create an album this good under those circumstances.

of course :jonnycat: it was a 10/10 and continues to be a 10/10

this is literally an album, all it needed is a bit of a clean up.

1. Invitation

2. Do You Wanna Come Over?

3. Make Me... (feat. G-Eazy)

4. Man On The Moon

5. Just Luv Me

6. Slumber Party (feat. Tinashe)

7. Love Me Down

8. Hard To Forget Ya

9. Better

10. Change Your Mind (No Seas Cortes)

11. Liar

12. If I'm Dancing

13. Coupure Électrique

14. Mood Ring

I think it aged fairly well.

Songs like WYN, LMD & HTFY sound straight out of 2016 though.

Liar ironically aged really well.

Still hate the vocal effects for MOTM, for that it aged badly.

This album was definitely refreshing after FF & BJ, felt like we could finally hear Britney again.

Make Me

Slumber Party

Love Me Down

If I'm Dancing

Man On The Moon

Just Like Me

Liar

Mood Ring.

Are 10/10 and haven't aged a bit

Better

Clumsy

Sound dated but they were even dated back in 2016 when the DJ snake type of production was already done and overdone.

Hard To Forget Ya

What You Need

Change Your Mind

They all have quite a peculiar production, I wouldn't go that far to say they're timeless but they definitely do not sound as dated as Better or Clumsy

The rest are up in the air and I don't revisit them as much, but in retrospect, Glory is a pretty solid pop record and a return to form for Britney. The singles alone are quintessential Britney Spears.

Glory is her best album.

not really, no. a lot of it was late to trend at release (the tropical pop stuff was already fully dead by then, for example) so those songs sound particularly of the time. i can't think of any pop album that's a curation of random premade demos like this that doesn't age super quickly though.

Imo, yes. The production still feels fresh for me

Yes, a lot. Such an underrated album. I blame that ugly ass cover.

It's weird and cool and commercial and nasty. All at the same time.

imo, yeah, still a solid pop record, huge improvement from femme fatale and myah jean
