Can Mariah do it again this Christmas or Taylor's new single next year or Harry's inevitable comeback single?

Taylor, Harry and Adele herself are the clear candidates. Whoever releases a stand alone lead single (without the whole album drop ala Midnights/Anti-Hero) will.

If Taylor or Harry release a pre-release single they'd be the ones I think.

Mariah will eventually but I don't think it'll be this year maybe in 2/3 years.

I doubt Adele herself will outdo herself after what 30 was

And well this is excluding some insane colllab or insanely random viral song that is completely unpredictable.

Expecting Adele to break her own record doesn’t make any sense - it’s just not fair to her. She’s not coming off a 21 or 25 this time.

 

It was high enough that I’m not sure I see anyone breaking it soon. Maybe Harry or Taylor could do it with the right song and right rollout, or maybe it’ll take a big year for Mariah around Christmas. I don’t see many other options at this particular moment.

Otherwise, Adele or maybe Mariah at Christmas. Maybe Drake if he does an unexpected collab with a major star like Ariana or something

because he is the last member to drop a solo song before all of them go to military, the hype will be huge.

Mariah will definitely do it, AIWFCIY gets bigger every year. 

Adele won't do it herself. Her next lead single will be big, but it won't be Hello/Easy On Me levels of big. 

 

Taylor and Mariah are probably the two leading candidates.
