If you click on the tweet you’ll see the original tweet with 22k likes and 1m+ views that can’t be posted because Twitter deemed it to be too racist. The only time I’ve ever seen “peruano/boliviano/mongólico de m*erda” in a tweet has been from an Argentinian. But there’s no problem according to you because they can study there for free… Argentinians can say “los yanquis” are racist and stupid all day long but play the victim as soon as someone says something about Argentina maybe actually acknowledge the problem instead of pretending it doesn’t exist.

Show me one president that has recognized the indigenous genocide. I speak Spanish. The fact that anyone with dark skin (or a tan) is called negro is already problematic enough but "negro de mierda" is absolutely just as common and it's telling you don't even try to deny it. How many times have you heard "blanco de mierda?" None of this explains why they stopped counting black people in its census. If people are just Argentinian they would not be going through lengths to prove they have European ancestry. You wouldn't have the president denying black people in the country and calling them a problem. Surely you don't believe that every single European that migrated to Argentina was educated, right? Were there no "smart" Asians at the time? Like... why are there so many excuses for racist policies? Argentinians are always so quick to call out the US for being a racist country but always find a way to excuse their own racist history. I just don't understand it.

Buenos Aires was once 30% black... they are practically nonexistent today due to forcing the black population into wars and making them live in neighborhoods filled with diseases. They stopped counting them in the census and promoted European immigration to literally get rid of the black population. The US may have its issues but they are well documented and there are multiple groups fighting for change everyday. You can't say the same for Argentina.

This historical revisionism "negro" is almost always used in a negative context. She is NOT calling Yamal her friend in that tweet I have been to Argentina multiple times. I know the entire country is not racist, but they do have a racist past and from what goes viral on Twitter it appears not much has changed. Has the indigenous genocide ever been recognized? How many people recognize the African influence in the tango?

It’s not a caricature when racist tweets from Argentina go viral daily with very little pushback. A famous singer there has a racist nickname that everyone ignores because it’s so normalized there… and his parents gave him the nickname

Saying that one of the most diverse cities in the world is more racist than the country where racist memes are posted on Twitter as a national pastime is certainly... a choice.
