19 year old self written 1M debuting album Speak Now washes the messy noisy RED album. Agrih?

The consistency, the sonic cohesion, the instrumentation, a true ALBUM.

Just like folklore & evermore these two trade off almost daily for me  All 4 albums wash entire discographies from everyone else in modern music history though

scripture now EASILY clears boRED. red have absolute smashes but besides being inconsistent, speak now is just the most "taylor swift" taylor swift album. every song is so magical and having no co-wri

  • It doesn't have Begin Again, so no

I wouldn't say "easily", because Red is still a stellar album. But yes, Speak Now is better. Too many 12/10 to count. :clap3:

Red has higher highs and lower lows, Speak Now is more consistent throughout if we ignore Innocent

Not easily but yeah it’s better, Red is great but a bit inconsistent. The tracklist is a mess

Both are equally mediocre

folklore, evermore, midnights > her earlier albums

Nope. Speak Now is amazing, flawless, 0 skips, etc but RED will always be THEE quintessential Taylor Swift album. It perfectly encapsulates all of her styles and who she is as an artist. And yes that includes the "messy" and "inconsistent" tracklist.

They're having an excellence off though! :heart2:

I do not care for pre RED Taylor swift. Pre RED Taylor music was exceedingly juvenile besides some bops here and there.

And it’s not that I don’t care for country, I think one day when she’s older she can return w a gritty country album.

RED is also a very so so album, like Lover, but both of their saving graces are that they have amazing deep cuts like All Too Well and The Archer.

State of Grace, Red, IKYWT, All Too Well, 22, WANEGBT, Holy Ground, Starlight, Begin Again >>>>>>>>>>>> any song on Speak Now

treacherous alone is enough to wipe **** now, nevermind adding in state of grace, holy ground, all too well, and better man

It's always Speak Now stans trying to push this feud

Red is her 3rd best album, Speak Now is her 4th (folkevermore is the top 2). I don't make the rules :giraffe:

Finally someone with TASTE and stanning Treacherous, one of her best songs.

Speak Now is more consistent but Red has the highest highs of any of her albums - All Too Well and State of Grace alone

Dear John is her magnum opus though - self written lyrical scathing masterpiece

Last Kiss kind of the best song between the two. :bird:

But Treacherous and Red are also heavy lifters.
