I am glad I am not alone and seeing Ajay think this is mega immature/boring mostly is so me. It has its moments but people pretending this is some artistic masterpiece and it's metacritic score wasn't

That would be a collapse. UMS is Avril's best album and sound by far. Would be so good if OR went rockier too. Avril's debut had a few rocky songs, but it was mostly pop. Her second was a lot more serious in its sound and it worked so well.

Even the color scheme, Let Go was like blue and black and red, and then UMS was black and red. I think it was such a good idea for Olivia to just stick with the purple, but in a different intensity, and with little changes in her appearence. Idk, it just seems to fit and made me even more interested in what will in fact change in her music...

Also... if Olivia also goes all in with vocals, heaviness and feelings on her sophomore, I'll definitely collapse.

so what are we getting for today? music video teaser? :jonny:

Nah.. Let Go and UMS have completely different colour palettes that fit their sounds perfectly. Let Go is mostly fuzzy/muted blue with some muted purple/red/yellow/black tones above. UMS is very strongly contrasted black and grey with a bold red sign on the arm and on the title. Olivia's covers give same photoshoot, same album campaign vibes. Very weird move.

From an insider on Pulse

It starts off as a ballad, first 1:30 minute...turns into a mid-tempo and the pacing keeps increasing until the end (3:39min).

The chorus is cute ``Dream Crusher, bleed me dry like a damn vampire...``

ohh the hillbillies are already constructing their essays.. :eli:

but wait that structure reminds me of deja vu.. but I guess more ballad-y and grungier.

So it's similar to deja vu? I thought it would be more energetic like good 4 but dv was a smash too so

based on that insider info, if true, it also reminded me of deja vu. but probably more upbeat by the end.

The way some people here just post for the sake of saying the stupidest **** :toofunny3:

For the Catholic Church, Sep 8 is the birth of the blessed virgin Mary. A serious mothering is about to happen that day.. :jonny:

Twitter is absolutely insufferable trying to spam the ‘iTs SOur aGaiN’ narrative. The album isnt even out yet, calm your **** :deadbanana2:

Nice of her to let us know she has Sour Guts. :toofunny3: Sour was great though so I’m sure this will be too. I hope it’s a little more upbeat.

love the name, cover is meh but is not bad, still will be listening tho

why do pop girls nowadays stick to only one producer? Olivia with this Daniel guy, Lana with Antonoff, Ariana with Tommy Brown, Taylor with Jack too and the Aaron guy, and Billie with FINNEAS :rip:
