I woke up this morning and before even crawling out of bed I turned on River and let it play through. Whew, starting the day off with quality. I saw the light over night, I fear? 

Just as Flowers the built up of the song is amazing. 

Plus the bridge becoming more prominent at the end of the song. Amazing

The bridge is too short though.  I wanted MORE of that excell

Something about the way her vocals were produced/mixed in this really puts me off. Not a problem for me on any of the other tracks besides this one. Aside from that, I really like it.

 

Not at all my first pick for the second single, but synth pop is in I guess, so we will see

Not the best single choice in my opinion, the chorus is a bit underwhelming. The video is great, though. She looks gorgeous.

just listened to this (will listen to the rest of the album later today probably) and tbh this sounds like another SMASH! i really like it 

i'm liking this song + Handstand more and more each time i listen, unlike Violet chemistry which i'm getting kinda tired of

my favorite part is the instrumental after the second chorus

Love the pre-chorus and bridge. The chorus, as everyone's said, is a bit underwhelming. But the video is hot. Living for the aesthetics.

The chorus really kinda ruins it... builds up to nothing. The pre-chorus is really great, they should have worked that out into a chorus. It just needed more work, something about it just feels lazy.

My exact thoughts. I thought I was the only one who heard it and the chorus of VC kind of reminds me of “Whatcha Say” by Jason Derulo

I was just listening to River and Violet Chemistry in the car and WHEW they go AWF in the car 

its giving britney spears/danja/timbaland/blackout. i really like the the production but hate the way she sings the verses but yeah its got that vibe. this was one was for the gays and the clubs. i don't see it being a hit though.

several replays on release and leave for hours checking other staffs, figure out i forgot how this sound, go back again, then forget again...
