Second verse is the highlight, for me. There’s actually lots of strong hooks in the song but the production really lets it down in places.

The teaser she posted with the bridge (without the instrumental) showcases how strong the hooks are and how badly it’s let down by the final production, because the instrumental really clashes with the bridge for me and it doesn’t hit as hard as it should, despite it being a really strong melody. 
 

Ah well, maybe I’m just being so hypercritical because I felt like Flowers was such a perfectly crafted lead single it set my expectations a little too high. 

personally I don't mind that the chorus isn't anything massive! I think it works very well with the song and it's just a cute bop overall  she snapped

This part is SO good

 

I like the verses and especially the pre-chorus, but that chorus is terrible. 

Digging this a lot  this might not be a hit but she did what needed to be done. It could‘ve been a scrapped song from Kylie‘s X and I wouldn‘t even doubt it.

A certified bop and Miley looks absolutely flawless in the video
