Yes, River will be the Physical/Into You of the era... a synth-pop second single that underperforms but becomes a gay club anthem. But unlike those other eras, I'm not hearing a smash third single on the album.

Another moderate hit is possible, but I think for all intents and purposes this is the "Flowers era."

It fell 6 positions on USA Spotify and this is the Monday update  it's over.. it will be a cute top 40 hit at least

If radio plays it, this will have a resurgence. It’s definitely a grower. Didn’t click on the first listen, but by the 4th, it’s stuck in my head constantly and I keep wanting to play it. Could be her summer smasha 

 

Still think Jaded has the most hit potential after Flowers, but maybe they’re saving that for a post-album remix/feature push this summer

Jaded is gonna Dark Horse River easily. It’s a guaranteed smash if they sent it to radio. I don’t see any other single options beyond these.
