If you don't understand vocal range please don't preach about it. Today, Christina can sing better at 42 than Mariah was at 42; and she is certainly a much much much better singer than Kelly C. and Adele, going by proven scientific data in vocal range and the lengths she can reach with her voice, NOT opinion). Sustaining vocal cords/range is also equally important. Ariana is on her way to achieve legendary status, her chest power isn't strong or deep as Christina's neither is her enuncation, but she's already iconic AF. Stay bitter. I feel very sorry for you.

Ariana’s range is quite literally wider and the others have far greater technical awareness, musicality, resonance, support. It’s really not even close. I’m sure you’re aware that range isn’t everything. And to compare Christina to Mariah vocally is just setting your fave up.

Also P!nk & Ariana (from your list) are also up there and are legends as well. We're talking about triple-hit ERAS, if not more, huge touring #s, and artistry with an outstanding impact (P!nk with her pop-rock anthems/hits and making the whole aerialist thing her thing / Ariana simply her voice and charisma, and hits). Maybe Ariana is an icon but if she keeps up the pace she will easily earn legend status. Both artists had huge impact on pop culture. The rest hmm are either incredible icons (Kelly Clarkson, Dua (kinda), Gwen, Billie (kinda), Fergie, Avril) or successful artists (at one point) [Nelly Furtado, Billie Eilish]. Olivia is still too young to be up there. One era is not enough to determine impact status.

Hmmm legend status doesn’t come from vocal range.  
 

She had some impact in the Stripped era, but so did the rest of the list I mentioned. For example Avril Lavigne sold more in her peak and her impact was 5x bigger than Xtina.

 

IMO she is not a legend, simply because most regular mainstream females had similar success and impact in the 00s and 2010s.

Those god-tier vocalists sold TONS of albums with their voice (like all of them have at least 2 diamond albums). They have signature hits that not only they sang solo but sang so well they are timeless and among the best selling singles of all time.

 

There are legends that are not big sellers but have voices that are so distinct that people talk about their voices all the time. They make songs so timeless that you can still hear them get played long after their peak. Does Xtina have a solo timeless hit that's defined by her voice?

 

Xtina is a good vocalist, no doubt, but she is no way, shape or form close to those voices. 

 

Xtina was definitely an icon of the 00s. Along with Britney, she definitely defined the early 00s pop music.
