Good riddance. Like most big industries in general most things related to them are fake and detrimental to everyone involved except the 1% at the top. The concept of a "star" is itself extremely contrived and manufactured anyway. I am not exactly buying all the doom and gloom conversation around it but if it is indeed true then I'm not sad to see it go.

One song that stood out to me for this reason while listening to the new album was actually the lead single. There's no reason that it shouldn't explode into some nasty belts in that final chorus mama. I'm sure there's other instances of that that I can't remember right now. like idk you have a voice so just use it? I mean even if just for the studio versions but then I guess people would complain about her not doing it for the live versions as well. It kinda feels like she's intentionally pulling back so as to preserve her voice which on one hand is very understandable but then we're left with a final product that just so obviously doesn't live up to its true potential.

Tbh Idk what she's trying to achieve with her pop music, but I listened to her latest album and it was really generic and just underwhelming besides like 1 song (One Day), no shade. Like it just felt like a random collection of a bunch of other pop girls rejects and dated sounds with zero vision. I like her personality and she seems lovely, but she comes off as lost artistically sadly. I would love for her to allow herself to commit to something more daring instead of trying to appeal to the internet pop crowd.
