Attention ATRL Community,

 

On January 12 at 11:28 AM EST, there was a brief security glitch involving our cache that allowed users to appear logged in as other members. We take our members’ privacy and security very seriously and apologize for what this has caused for our community. 

 

During this time, private messages and profile information was able to be seen by whoever was logged in. No passwords were accessed or able to be viewed.  No payment information was seen or accessed. Nevertheless, this is a major security breach that we are taking seriously. Admins were informed by the mod team at 11:48 AM EST and steps were taken immediately to take the forum offline and run diagnostics to pinpoint the issue.

 

- In the coming days we will make an announcement regarding the new way members will be required to log in. This is something Invision will be mandating in a new update.

 

- We will also require all members to generate new passwords and change their emails as a precaution.

 

- I have been in contact with ATRL’s owner who has granted me the authority to allow members to request account deletion. A separate thread will be available for that.

 

Additionally, we will be securing ATRL with further security updates and have reached out to Invision for assistance as this was a fault on their end. 
 

We will continue to update members as more information becomes available in our logs and once we hear back from support.

We the people of ATRL hereby will accept the banning of @RihFenty20 and @ImsoLOUD as karmic retribution for this wrong.

We had access to other people's accounts for 20 minutes.

Because some people asked for it. If that’s what people want as a result that’s fine. We will still have logs in case they try to make a new account.
