This side of ATEEZ is what almost turned me into a stan. I might have to try the rest of their discography one day. Skimming through their new mini-album... I can see what you mean, it is more aggressive and noisy than my recs here which I don't particularly like. When I listen to ATEEZ, I mainly listen to that one ZERO:FEVER Part.3 EP + the Utopia song and maybe their debut tracks lol I feel like a 1/4 stan

 

This album is also fantastic for their more chill side:

 

 

In particular their piano ballad Be With You is stunning:

It's giving me TXT. I prefer TXT when they do pop/dance than all the rock. I like some of the rock like Everlasting Shine, a legendary song, but it is a bit much sometimes especially when they comeback and it's rock... and you have to wait 1 whole year later and... it's rock again... you have to wait another year again again 

 

 

 

 

I have to check out their discography again though. I feel like I messed up and listened to it wrong somehow, maybe the wrong order?  I only listened to a small chunk too but I wasn't feeling their noisier, more aggressive stuff

Cause right now I'm listening to their ZERO:FEVER EPILOGUE album and yesss  these are the vibesss and the voCALS. Jongho deserves more recognition for that voice!

Same, it's more believable than when they do pop rock music. Also the pop rock sound creates too much overlap with Enhypen who also has a pop rock sound to a lot of their b-sides.

asap concept isn't remotely close to what rv or fx has done. fx posing in forest or rv having blonde hair isn't what reusing concept means. txt also had concept pics in forest, maybe they are copying txt concept idk 

 

newjeans art direction is accumulation of min heejin's rich experience with sm and she says that all the time and whoever wants can consider them as half sister group from different parent.  so far none of nj concept has overlapped with her old work, but everyone can tell her signature style which would not change drastically just because she left your favorite company. she has all the freedom and better team working with her, so she creates perfect concepts that leaves yall gagged and jealous.

SM needs to give aespa a Japanese album as soon as they can. Ideally in time for their Tokyo Dome concerts!

 

It's crazy that they've achieved this much already without releasing any song in Japanese

 

OT: OR having any televised Japanese performances until literally a month ago...whereas certain other 4th gen groups have been promoting there since last year...

Hate Rodrigo is fine, it's cute, but I hope she ditches that sound next comeback... Wicked Love ate the title HARD! She needs to explore other sounds.

Did you do all this just because you want a director like Min Heejin back in SM? This is why we shouldn’t stick to the past and let go Even Taeyeon unfollowed SM Let’s not embarrass ourselves and just follow the second coming called ADOR

hate rodrigo is yena's weakest tt so far. sonically it's fine, but those katy perry'd lyrics ruin it. wicked love is very good tho and should've been the tt instead. love war remains her best project this year

Pretty sure the last time his name was next to 50 other composers the world got Icy so this will at the very least be interesting

They shine regardless as they're very talented, but as European I'm just so not into the extra-american route. Mascara is literally (good) K-Pop in English, at least.
