I agree, but on the other hand constant promotions and attendance at all these music shows, variety shows and schedules is very exhausting both mentally and physically. Like aespa literally said they sleep 5 hours a WEEK during promotions. I think they were overexaggerating but it still means that idols get extremely tired even within 2-3 weeks, imagine if the promotion period was a month or even more?

I blame the oversaturation of music shows. Inkigayo every Sunday, THE SHOW every Tuesday, Show Champion every Wednesday, MCountdown every Thursday, Music Bank every Friday, Music Core every Saturday - literally 6 shows a week, where all the perfomances are prerecorded early in the morning till the evening :deadbanana4: This is too much

I mean there's a reason why seniors or big groups like Blackpink and BTS don't promote as much, it has to be a pain in the ass to go to music shows and perform the same thing 500x tines

What's with Btob Hyunsik?

His dad is some legendary folk singer from back in the day and his mom was some kind of actress, he entered CUBE under a fake name and hide his parents during his whole training period.

The old CEO of cube said they learned about his family when they had to call them to sign papers.

No way, I thought it had been a month.

They're obviously not bigger than Ateez in North America or Europe, maybe South America.

No only 2 weeks :dies:

But they could prevent exhaustion if the promotions were paced better right? Like instead of shooting everything in 2 weeks, Companies should Just keep the same quantity of promotions but space them during the whole month.

On the 22nd.

Isn't that only in the first week? In the 2nd week they don't go to music shows everyday.

It's true, not all groups attend all of these shows all the time. But on the whole, even on a 2nd or 3rd week an average k-pop group attends 2-3-4 main shows a week like Inkigayo, MCountdown, Music Bank etc. That's 3 out of 7 days wasted. + dance practices, the variety shows like Youngji's drunk show or Knowing Bros or Weekly Idol etc, dance stages lile Studio Choom, individual group variety shows that some groups have, interviews, photoshoots etc that take a LOT of time. I'm not even mentioning the university festivals that are currently happening

That's still a ton of pressure and work

Well TREASURE never toured outside of Asia so we really can’t use that example, but I have no doubt they’ll outsell once they do, but the fact that they outsold Ateez recent tour is a great indiscretion of where their popularity is

Let’s hope so, I’m not interested in a Bebe Rexha collab :biblio: I don’t want BP to just start working with anyone just to do it, they need to be selective of who they work with. I don’t need their stock dropping

all their past collabs have been a-list girlies..Dua, GaGa, Selena, Cardi….we can’t go from that to BeBe, no shade

no shade but all their collabs with those girls sucked minus "ice cream" Bebe might be a faceless artist but she can write some gems. :supaspaz:

Yeah but unfortunately kpop is too focused on selling quick little albums at this point...

Jqnetto and xxfreshkid definitely deserved to be lashed out lmao. THEE definition of obsessed hater, they were a little too excited posting WTMY chart placements every now and then to bait for negative reactions:deadbanana4:

Also Idk* if it’s just me but the way the Kpop groups promote is so fast! Like for exemple, can you believe that Unforgiven was released just 2 weeks ago :deadbanana4:? The song feels old bc in the span of 2 weeks they promoted literally everywhere and now the promo is done:rip:. I wish the era were longer and the promotions more spaced.

Promo cycles are no longer a month or more

Ever since COVID they’ve basically found that short promo periods are entree better it’s either going to naturally click or not in that short window

Yeah, Imo a better organization for the promotions would be so much better for the Idols and the fans.

And we have worst , some companies are like starship, released a full album but only promote the TT instead of the full body of work :rip:

(also kii at you using the gif of Bey when she’s the worst now since she’s not promoting anything and don’t want to drop even 1 mv :deadbanana4:)

A lot of variety shows and performance videos are filmed even before the release, especially weekly idol I think.

Can we just say how blessed we are by 4th gen Kpop.

Even the intros are heaven-sent. They really brought out their A-Game.

It would be more enjoyable if the promotions lasted 1 month at least imo! And without working more!

It all feels super overwhelming in a short period of time. Like you have the dance relays, online shows, pre-recorded content to promote the album cycle, TikTok challenges, music show promo, interviews, etc for two weeks then they just dip :rip:

It’s like a huge load just dropped on fans then tour and nothing until the next cycle. It would be a bit beneficial to space stuff out

Not #JAYCHANG trending on Twitter and the tweets from his fanmeet are having cute little engagements….I have high hopes for his official debut tbh. Looks like he has a fanbase ready to support :clap3:

:jonny6: This is giving me 2nd gen bg vibes

why does it look like a performance video though, I hope it’s not…they’re not Seventeen-type of performers :giraffe:
