I not think Taylor ever wants to be as big as she was during 1989.  As a result, I don’t think she will promote Midnights as much as 1989 (which had about a 1.5 year campaign) 

It needs to have the remembered hits that 1989 has

No. 1989 TV will boost the main album too much. She would have to release 3 Midnights versions through out the next 10 years to achive that.

We all know that she will be back to hiding after next week so no, Midnights won’t outsell 1989. Midnights remain her best pop album though

Midnights doesn't have any Top 40 friendly single materials like 1939 had, so nope

no Max Martin yes frontloaded

no, 1989 was smashing for 2 years to reach its sales, which is unlikely to happen
