Planet Her though I love both. PH just feels bigger but I could definitely be wrong in terms of stats 

Did Planet Her even pass the 200-250k mark Pure Sales in it's main market ?

Problem was IFPI #7 YE with 9M in pure sales. Bang Bang is nearing Diamond eligibility, One Last Time as well is 1B on Spotify.

 

Doja carried more hits out of PH but Ariana's highs outclass any of the PH singles. Not to mention Ariana was way more global despite only being 2 years in the mainstream.

 

We can argue 'oh Doja is a rapper thats why she isnt as global' yes but the point still stands that ME >>> PH commercially.

This is false. PH has already outcharted ME in just about every major market in addition to ranking higher on YECs. When you take into account ME's tragic longevity around the world, its success is hardly noteworthy. Overrated even. At this point even Dangerous Woman feels bigger than ME.

I feel like Doja isn't in the spotlight as much as she should be and definitely not as much as Ariana was during My Everything. Which I don't understand because Doja's live performances have been amazing and Planet Her has had numerous successful singles.

I think Planet Her is huge for Doja and her career.

It's funny how in threads like these users struggle to stay on topic and answer the question straightforward.

 

The question was which era was bigger. Not which era was better for the artist's career, not which is the better album, not who is the better artist, not which era ~feels~ bigger off of vibes alone or how the era shaped the artists' career. WHICH ERA IS BIGGER? Stop skirting around the question and answer it!

ME also had a 7 year headstart to accumulate those units. It won't be long until PH completely eclipses it.

My Everything after 7/8 years vs Planet Her after one year.

both great albums, but I prefer My Everything

 

My Everything was at 9m CSPC units back in 2017 and has accumulated more than 3.5 million units since then as Ariana continued to produce successful eras.

 

Let's see if Doja's success lasts long enough for PH to accumulate those 6 million additional units it needs to surpass ME.

 

Just because the era gained 6 million units in one year doesn't mean it'll get the other 6 million as quicky, especially if she doesn't plan to put out more singles and moves on to her next album.
