Is Doja's “Say So” a classic?
I love this song. Don't forget that it was Doja's breakout hit. She wouldn't be mainstream right now if Say So didn't blow up.

How did Christina Aguilera get away with wearing blackface & cultural appropriation?
Stop. Just stop. You're probably too young to know that spray tans were a major fad in the 00's. Shall we ask why Beyonce hasn't been called out for her 50 Shades of Brown throughout her career? How about black women who dye their hair blonde or straighten it? Go get a job instead of finding reasons to be offended.

Taylor receiving no backlash for dating Matty Healy. Why?
This entire thread is what's wrong with society today. Let the people he may have offended be responsible for being offended!! Go back to your Karen lives and make something useful of your time.

What made 'River' such a non-event bomb?
I think it's because people are still hung up on Flowers. It's also not quite summer yet and River is definitely a summer song. It could be a sleeper hit, but if she releases a new single by summer it might lose any chance of success.

Bebe Rexha’s “BEBE” Debuts At #132 On The BB200. What Went Wrong?
Bebe is still a singles artist. Her music never had the complexity or story to be appealing enough to buy an album. I personally found the album to be disappointing. Satellite has a good beat but the lyrics are cringeworthy. Miracle Man is the only bop on the album that I keep going back to listen to, other than I'm Blue. I'm Blue showed that people want electro dance pop again, so I'm not sure why she didn't stick with that sound the whole album.

Aaron Dessner defends working with Ed Sheeran
Can't stand Aaron Dessner's arrogant snobbery towards pop music. Does he really think that he's more musically talented because he makes watered down boring music? Folklore and Evermore were successful because of Taylor, not him.

Kim & Nicki's "Alone" OUT of Spotify Top 200 on Day 3. Why?
It's because everyone is listening to the unofficial Euro Mix remixes on YouTube. The official release is musical blue balls and ends abruptly. Kim's verse also isn't too good. The chorus is killer and Nicki's verse is great.

Lemonade: 535K streams on Spotify, surprised?
She was invited as the GUEST but showed up as the main act. Extremely arrogant and rude.

Lemonade: 535K streams on Spotify, surprised?
Let's not forget that Beyoncé literally stole Coldplay's Super Bowl show to promote Formation and Lemonade, yet it had no impact with the public. I would be so mad if I were Chris Martin. What Beyoncé did was like announcing your engagement at someone else's wedding.

H.E.R. officially makes move to try to win Tony, and officially become a EGOT
Exactly. She somehow manages to get all these Grammy noms and awards yet we hear NOTHING about her ever. No press, no tiktok viral videos, no hype, nothing. No other celebs talk about her. She feels like an industry plant to hand awards to her to fill those diversity goals.

Kelly Clarkson bombing. What happened?
Kelly Clarkson's audience has been millennial and Gen X mom's for some time now. I don't think Gen Z even knows she exists, and she hasn't had a hit at all since the streaming era. Established acts can't rely on radio and payola to force us to hear their latest releases until they're stuck in our heads. Oh, and the songs are boring ballads. Kelly always launched with a really strong dance pop power ballad, but now she's trying to be Adele.

Kourtney's husband releases $182 enema kit
A designer enema. Now I've seen it all 🤣🤣🤣

Shawn Debuts New Squad!
Also you all are the worst. Did you all forget what it was like to have people try to tell you your sexuality before you came out? Leave Shawn alone and if he's bi or gay, it's on him to tell us. It's gays like y'all that make the straights afraid to hang near the LGBT community for this very reason.

Shawn Debuts New Squad!
Wow. When did Shawn turn into a hunk instead of looking like a boy?

Would "Cake Like Lady Gaga" have been an instant hit if Tiktok existed?
All of these TikTok hits take at least one catchy part or hook of a song. Cake is so bad it doesn't even have a moment of goodness. So no, and no.

Katy Perry teases new music “very soon”
I can't see her doing another album. Probably a single to promote her Vegas tour. I hope she works with Bonnie, Max, and Luke again. It's been almost 10 years since she worked with them for Prism. They were the (teenage) dream team.

Britney doesn't have a team, is she the only MPG whose streams are truly organic?
I thought Glory was her final record under contract?

Should Ava Max pivot to DJ collabs and features?
Ava Max is a singles artist, but the problem is that nothing about her stands out from the rest so there's no fanbase or loyalty. Her albums are good, but nothing amazing. Like non-single songs from Katy, Rihanna, etc.

Lover is lowkey going to end Midnights, surprised? Why?
This. When Lover was released I was beginning to think it was the beginning of the end for Taylor's peak. Folklore was a really risky pivot that ended up being one of the best choices she made in her career.

Kim Petras & Nicki Minaj - “Alone”
This is what I'm hoping for. Dr. Luke did a LOT to the Big Energy remix with Mariah so I'm hoping a new version will fix our blue balls from this song.
-
Kim Petras & Nicki Minaj - “Alone”
When the fan made remix slays so much harder than the official version 🥶
-
Kim Petras & Nicki Minaj - “Alone”
Agreed!! I'm glad it hit at least 3 mins in this 2 minute singles era, but it's definitely missing a bridge or a triumphant chorus. Dr. Luke is known for his final choruses and this one sounds like a bridge/chorus that never fully drops.

Eras that are labeled as a success but the #s say otherwise..
Not at all. But my point is that the fans still act like their relevance and cultural impact are still the same as their prime, despite the numbers being significantly lower. Doesn't mean they're a flop, just that it's not as big of a deal as the fans make it to be.
-
Eras that are labeled as a success but the #s say otherwise..
While the numbers are decent, they're not much compared to each artist in their prime. Also the hardcore fans are the reason those albums even got decent numbers, but the fans act like it was a huge success to the GP.

Eras that are labeled as a success but the #s say otherwise..
Chromatica. People think I t was a smashing success just because RoM hit #1 but that was largely because of Ariana Grande. Lemonade. Everyone acts like this was a major musical and cultural moment but the reality is that anyone outside of pop and the Beyhive doesn't know or care about it.
