Beyonce gets dragged in Reddit cesspool

Featured Replies

Curating your own content, picking the right collaborators, having a creative vision and always delivering on an extremely high level is a talent in its own right. It's not a coincidence that no one else is doing it on Beyoncé's level, when you combine the music, the visuals and the mindblowing live shows. Also, the Grammy awards don't specify that the person winning has to write, arrange and produce all their own material, that's absurd.

The person writing that bizarre essay exposed their own misogyny when they called her a silicone popstar. He's obviously one of those "indie music only, pop music sucks" neckbeard elitists.

are the white queen stans in here aware the OP sneaked in a Taylor drag as well? :rip:

It's more of an indicator that the GP no longer falls for Beyoncé's untouchable goddess image and is aware of her fraudulent ways (bought songwriting credits, fake streams) that we stans have known for years. Also, popstars simply aren't respected by people, so this isn't surprising. :michael:

Actually no. When Beyonce "stayed in her lane", she was harmless to most and just plain old loveable with an inch of Diva-esque flair about her. Its really when she started to focus on ambitious projects such as ST and Lemonade when especially those "music nerds" started to take it more personally because they cannot fathom that a person can actually evolve, that a person whos been in the industry for quite a long time having achieved what Bey has achieved still has the ambition to improvement. Those keyboard warrior cannot for the life of them fathom that.

Its hilarious how riled up they get over Bey and her musical genius.

Especially is said person is a black female.

Imagine how threatened they must have felt.

  1. Her name being the most prominently listed writing credit is a non-negotiable term whenever she works with songwriters, regardless of how much she actually contributes to the writing process.
  2. She could (and more than likely does) contribute as little as one word and get a songwriting credit. There are also claims that she just adds harmonies and that somehow gets her name on the list of writers.
  3. There have been allegations that she simply "licenses" the lyrics that others write for her, therefore entitling her to a songwriting credit.

This right here :giraffe:

Not right winged but still white-male dominated.

of course they aren't, because don't you know, taylor is actually talented because she writes her own music and plays guitar!!!11!1

the irony of people coming in here and saying "points were made!" is that the OP (and people alike) believes this to be true of any popstar. like you can literally read through that thread and see people like Madonna and Gaga also getting dragged for the exact same thing. but atrlers will continue to live in their delusion for petty stan wars

I mean most people look at popstars as manufactured and talentless. Beyoncé isn't the only one who gets called this.

We can at least proudly say that Gaga or Taylor or Madonna are a lot more involved in the creative process than Beyonce who is known to steal credits from writers as spilled by Frank Ocean himself :giraffe:

they're more involved in the creative process simply because of songwriting? literally one lane of the creative process. ok.

you do know that Madonna has been taken to court for stealing credits, right? (and i say this as a madonna stan)

this little monster really snuck adele and taylor in their drag while they were at it like we wouldnt notice :bibliahh:

A lot said in the OP is true, though. She has a huge team who controls the narrative as tightly as they can. They rely on God by no means, although he's the one who gets thanked later.. but there's no denying her passion for her craft and aspirations to be the best that she can be! I feel like the OP was slightly one-sided and didn't give her much credit. True, she shouldn't get songwriting credits.. like almost ever. Or hailed as a musical genius or musician. But she deserves praise as one of the best performers of our time. :heart2:

Having said that, with a big marketing team of carefully selected masters of their craft for every single tiny detail – of course that's gonna get people questioning your musical integrity.

Is anyone really hailing Beyonce as a musical genius though? She gets respect as a great singer, an amazing performer, someone who is fearless in making statements and taking a stand but musical genius?

She is not a musician :clap3:She needs a writing camp to come out with one line of lyrics.

Cannot write her own songs and cannot play musical instrument. We been knew. Glad people are finally realizing she is not that talented :fan:

It's true (except for Adele and Taylor) and OP has actually been respectful. :michael:

The race card already, jeez :rip:

Assuming for a moment that the Grammys actually matter, it's not a grave injustice that a guy who wrote all of his own lyrics, produced his own tracks, and and played most (if not all) of the instruments on his album would beat out a corporate vehicle who sings other people's lyrics, dances to others' choreography, and relies on (often uncredited) session musicians for the instrumentals (all while allowing the general public to believe that this music was the fruit of her labor alone).

The dissertations on Beyoncé will never end.:deadbanana: UGH, HER POWER! :clap3:

I just know the OBHs will be the first in line streaming Renaissance. :gaycat5:

Lol she must be doing something right if some misogynistic loser incel from Reddit hates her. I’m not a blind stan and yes Beyonce at times has maybe pushed it a bit far with writing credits but also it’s common for men to discredit female artists and try to claim their achievements are due to the men around them. A lot of the male artists they circlejerk over are actually terrible people and not as brilliantly talented as they were touted to be, Beyonce is a black woman who worked her ass off to break through racial and gender barriers.

Beyonce is very clearly insanely talented even if you don’t like her music so if you care what Reddit thinks about literally anything please get therapy.
