Madonna

I'm watching figure skating right now and Emily Bratti and Ian Somerville did a fantastic routine to Vogue. At first I thought of course they'll do Vogue but watching it I was in awe from the clothes, their movement to the mix they used. Looked like they mixed voguing with figure skating, it looked so different from the usual figure skating routines. Unfortunately they got disappointing results but everything was so Madonna about the performance. I'm not knowledgeable on the technical side so don't drag me if it wasn't performed well lmaoooo

My whole Madonna kick recently was kind of inspired by my own mom. She hasn't been doing so well as of late, so I've been feeling nostalgic and thinking back to her listening to Live to Tell (her favo

    unedited COADF album cover

So i was casually browsing the interwebs and found this:

Somewhere in Brazil a long time ago some people created a huge balloon portraying the seven deadly sins as if they were celebrities, as you can see in the other pictures there's a huge balloon with 6 sins and they made a big a$$ flying banner with Madonna only representing the remaining sin: lust :rip: I mean look at the people in the bottom of the pic for scale, that thing is bigg

Do any of you cry to Oh Father? This woman has me bawling!

2025 feels like a dream. I know most fans are not happy with how VE was handled but at the end of the year we'll be able to say that we got 8 unreleased/new songs on streaming and that's so cool. Ever since July we got cute things to celebrate every month and that's amazing to experience as a fan after the long years of drought. I'm glad she's dropping all these little projects because it helps people re-discover her incredible discography.

It was definitely Ray Of Light's year, with both EUSEXUA and Addison taking direct inspiration from the album, helping it getting big boosts + Veronica Electronica coming later.

I'm so glad Bedtime Stories will get its own moment to shine too cause if there's an album that is so underrated and deserves to be more widely discovered, it's this one imo. I love the packaging and I'm so glad we're getting Love Won't Wait on streaming.

And the Confessions surprise drop is also so pleasing to me. I've always listened to the non-stop mix but to have it on streaming + all the press that it generates + the three bonuses is so cool ! Super Pop's lyrics are so cringe that I can see it going viral one day, with people doing their own Proust questionnaire.

I guess the next step is the new album, but then I'd love them to do something with Music (Liquid Love please!!) and Erotica (this one is a given imo.)

It's interesting to me how poorly Erotica performed considering she released it only a couple of years after her absolute commercial and celebrity peak. I know it was a controversial era but you'd think the momentum from Immaculate Collection/Blond Ambition would've been enough to give it more of a boost. It's not exactly like she went from girl next door to good girl gone bad from one to another.

It was the sex book I think that overshadowed the music. People were so focused on the controversy from the book and criticizing her for going too far that the album suffered by association. But at the end of the day she still scored a top 5 and the album didn't even sell that much less than BS.

I think the next album is my most anticipated for 2026.

There's nothing quite like all the build up and living through a new Madonna era.

I'm still wondering what M has sampled on the first single as there are so many rumours - Snap, Black Box, Robert Miles or something else.  I've wondered whether the album itself will take us through the dance sounds of different decades mixed with modern production - 70s, 80s, 90s, 00s. I'm hopeful the Celebration Tour DJ mix that Stuart Price did is a good indication.

I find it interesting if not surprising that there are rumours that both M and Gaga will have new songs featured in the Devil Wears Prada movie too.

the way she dances in some of these, how didn't mother break a hip or throw her back out :deadbanana4: legend

My God...the delusion in that "Is It Time to admit TS has surpassed Madonna" thread is hilarious. :rip:

This era was before my time but I think she should've bundled the book with the album. I think it would've helped sales but thats JMO.

She looked incredible in this video. It's crazy that she had recently been injured too. She for sure doesn't show it.

I just realized that FEL did only 2k from streaming in US :rip:

Her entire singles catalog doing 2k in a week where a compilation is released... :rip:

Why did I think album debuted with like 50k when it actually only did 28k

I'm shocked it was so low. It did pretty well on the charts. A top 10 for a compilation of random dance remixes is pretty good in my book. I loved the album art for the cd. A very well done project imo.

Seems like so many people, at least that I know, had no idea the album was originally a non-stop mix. We're losing the ancient texts :biblio:

I'm shocked that LAP didn't go to 1b with the use in DeadPool. I wonder why. Did something happen during that time?

Well for starters, she stupidly denied them permission to put it on the soundtrack. The remix EP came out after the hype was dwindling. Her team truly sucks.

I thought she fell off her horse before reinvention tour, not before coadf?!

COADF Twenty Anniversary has been on repeat since release. I just can't get enough. A different track hits harder every day. :jonny2:

Oh, well that makes more sense. I didn't know that. Damn how dumb.

4 Minutes is currently being used on Marshall's new ad.
