I absolutely hate it that she is not getting her flower by the public while still alive. It irks me greatly. On the other hand, I feel like Janet has given up in a way. I don't see a drive or passion from her to curate/promote her past catalog (even by keeping it up-to-date as you noted in your post). Or to release new music. Ugh. It is what it is at this point. RE: riaa recertifications Sadly I don't think her catalog has been moving much in numbers in the past years since then to warrant new certifications. Her streaming isn't great, and I haven't seen Janet on the vinyl records/pure sales chart that would indicate she is selling physically or digitally.

I really slept on A4Y era for a long time. So many bops on here. It holds up shocking well. So glad she has another 100m streamed song under her belt. She deserves it.

Im really enjoying her new DRM remix. Janet should pull an Elton and remix her old songs in new ways. especially if she doesn't want to release a new album ever again. Probably a lot cheaper to do as well.

I just bought the c2 cd, and i don't even have a cd player (already got vinyl). I am so thrilled for her. This really has been amazing for me as a fan of the 80s trinity legends. Woohoo. Madonna's whole catalog has gotten a great boost of millions from this release, too. Hopefully a usa certification is in reach!

This album has stuck with me. I keep relistening. Its so fresh. I am really happy for her. She seems in better place now than the past few eras. The number 1 was deserved. Hopefully it has good legs.

I foresee the album having decent legs, fingers crossed, and hopefully an awards campaign. It's very replayable. The fact that on streaming it's continuous play like the OG Confessions CD just puts the vibe over the top for me and makes this release even more unique. This album was made with inspiration and care, and that's very clear. I'm so glad to experience a real Madonna era. When I became a fan around 2017-ish, times were rough indeed. She always gets back on track as this has proven.

It's interesting that the 80s trinity all had a resurgence this year. Prince - Stranger Things - Michael - The biopic and now Madonna with a brand new era. So good.

I'm hoping for the best for this new era. I think Madge still has a hit in her. Or if not, she is capable of making a new fan-favorite era, regardless of the stats.
