I don't know why so many are taking it some type of way this time around, but hasn't it been known for a decade+ that most of these "insiders" that aren't reputable, lie?

This. Also, it really sucks that it takes 3 years between her films. It places so much pressure on each one to be groundbreaking when actual actors can literally move onto the next project if the current one flops. Obviously it's different because Gaga is an all around entertainer and can't just film 2-3 projects every year, but it would definitely help if she spent more time building a filmography.

I'd assume it's very likely she'll not do a second single until Jan 2025. If she releases single one in October and can snag some late night show performances and a stint on SNL between release and the end of November she'll have done alright. Let December run with the Christmas music and then strike again in January when the Hot 100 is typically quiet and perhaps get the notoriety of having the first big single release of 2025. That should help build hype for the album. Idk I think it's a smart strategy the more you look at it.

I'm guessing lead in October to get ahead of the Christmas freeze, single 2 in January for after the Christmas freeze is over, and a third single with the album's release in February. We can get four months of content and potentially 3 MVs that way before she (presumably) tours the album for a good portion of next year.

She LITERALLY put her health at risk with ozempic to do this film and role justice and tapped into some dark places emotionally and mentally for the role only for much of her great scenes to be deleted  so frustrating. She's a professional and is prob just grateful to have been in the movie at all but u can tell she expected a little more ...

I'm sure she gave her sold in those damn stairs and at the end it wasn't treated in a way that shows her talent. That's why this press tour I'm blaming Todd Phillips.

But then you're essentially splitting the era into two… like she's had all this time and that's the best the team could think of. At this point a full album release in October makes more sense, and if she wants to tour Spring 2025 release a deluxe and soft relaunch with a new song. But this could also just be me wanting to hear new music as soon as possible lol

The Vogue editorial is fabulous, only Gaga can return couture to those pages. The Margiela pieces work great. I think the headshot cover was unnecessary after seeing the full body cover, even tho I understand that's the theme of the shoot. 

Also, how long has she been doing photo approval for Getty images? It's weird that the after party photos haven't been released there.

You can look at it both ways - it's stretched out and some argue in the streaming era no one wants that anymore, but also looking at some of the years biggest/most impactful albums they've had similar roll-outs. Short n Sweet and Brat had 4/+ month gaps between first single and albums. Sabrina has 3 songs in the top 10 right now as a result of that. Beyonce came and went in 6 weeks and hasn't done much with the era after album release. I'm sensing a new way around the streaming era is to do the workings of your era upfront. Hit your mark with all your big single choices pre-album since post-album singles are more of a struggle to get off the ground. Maybe it's just me but I'm not mad at it.

YUP. It was sooo baffling how they fumbled that finale. I hated it so much that I decided to not watch Part 2. And completely lost interest in the following season.

I have a feeling DWAS will go #1 like either a week before or like maybe the same week or the week after Joker is released.

 

Also i really doubt the GP will hate Joker. I feel like  it's going to have a great opening week, let's not forget they put 200M into the movie and if they're praising Gaga's performance then the movie has to be somewhat good. 
 

We could have both DWAS and Joker smashery at the same, and then we get the LG7 lead. She can very much have the #1 movie and #1 single in the US / world which she wasnt even able to accomplish with ASIB.

 

The best is yet to come. Sure it may be dissapointing if Gaga isn't really a lead but we're still getting an hour worth of footage with Gaga in it and that's better than nothing. I mean she has been getting rave reviews for her performance.

 

They can very much still push her for Leading as well. Good things come to those who wait!

I'm just glad critics are dragging Todd Philips for the editing and under using Gaga. It's clear critics felt that Gaga should've been used more in the film. So it looks like JFAD is HOG 2.0 all over again. But at least this gives Gaga more street credibility in Hollywood that she was never the weakest link in 2 dud films in a row among critics. I'm not sure if Gaga will get nominated for an Oscar but if truly ends up being the saving grace of this entire film. She will be recognized by it even further for Hollywood and the gp.
