I believe most people disappointed because of that certain reason. Her being such a big name also a curse in her hollywood acting career. So in the end Joker movie turns out to be Lady Gaga's movie, and Todd heavily cut her scenes because he didnt wanted this to be a lady gaga movie. And she said they shouldnt have premiered the movie this early or shouldve just premiered the first 40-50 mins and edit the rest of the movie closer to the premiere so you have time to edit it again depending on the narrative.
