you kinda have a point, I mean, gaga is very extra and such a theatre kid, people call her pretentious, and she can be very, but here she was being kinda funny and goofy,  but nobody wanted to volley with her

I always had the same thought. She was giving them an opening to share funny stories instead of the usual dour vibe the roundtable has. Also, in the same interview Penelope Cruz goes on to say she felt protective over a fake baby doll, lol, so I especially felt she was being a bit mean girl with the pointed silence. KInd of reminds me of the vibe of the Jamie Lee Curtis interview where Gaga was trying to be congenial and lighten the mood, discuss how awesome True Lies was, but JLC was not having it. I totally think there is a bit of a competitive and cliquesh thing happening amongst many Hollywood actresses despite how many like to pretend otherwise tbh. Like, for example, I remember J.Law and Emma Stone admitting they were jealous of one another at different times before becoming friends. The other actresses at her first THR roundtable were way cooler & friendly IMO. Maybe because a lot of them were older veterans (and also Gaga wasn't going to be their competition for roles).

Luckily, Gaga's been around the entertainment industry long enough that she knows how people are. I'm sure she kills with kindness, rolls her eyes behind the scenes at the pettiness, and moves on. Even in 2024, we know she's not a big fan of other celebrities for that reason.

Yeah I mean what she said wasn't even that wild lbr. I'm sure a lot of other actresses have experienced that, the way she recoiled in embarassment after was kind of endearing, they were being mean. 

Gaga's also secure in the fact she can show up to the GRAMMYs, Oscars, VMAs, or Golden Globes and wherever else and the red carpet will explode with excitement because of her fame. Not all actresses have that level of security about their relevance.

Yep I had the same thought. Makes me think about what her experiences on set are like.

Just remember, Gaga is one of the most successful female artists ever and then became a successful actress as well. There have been like Barbra and Cher? Of course deep down everyone in Hollywood is jealous of her, especially the female artists who may think that Gaga came to the movie industry and stole their roles. The fact that after HoG Gaga has been casted in one of the biggest movies of 2024 as well

I'm pretty sure Sarah Paulson loves LG. I think you might be reading into this a bit much- Glenn Close is a Hollywood legend who was overdue for her Academy Award.

She has so many amazing hits in her discography, it's insane. And all of them sound so different, which really shows how talented, daring and versatile she is. Nowadays artists keep releasing the same song over and over again, no wonder why Gags is one of the last superstars to happen.

I don't think any other main stream actress could pull off Patrizia the way Gaga did. She was born for that role 

The same with Ally. Other actresses could have done the struggling singer bit, but they couldn't pull off the vocal performance. It will be interesting to see if Gaga's Harley Quinn is as untouchable as her previous roles

Also during that same season, Kristen (who was my #1 that year and I was rooting for her to win) was talking about Diana's ghost haunting her during filming and her getting some spooky spiritual feelings on set. Everyone does it. Obviously, Gagger is a pretentious theater kid and some moments were cringey as hell in hindsight, but film twitter/pundits and some people in the industry still did the absolute most because they were coming from her. The fact that she's a big celebrity with a big fanbase online didn't help either. Anything she says would quickly go viral with hundreds of lashings and liddos fighting in quotes.

 

They're gonna be in the trenches later this year. Incels defending Joaquin's shenanigans and Liddos fighting for Lee.

And it's interesting how male stars can talk about method acting and they're taken seriously (or they can just give nonsense answers deliberately like Robert Pattinson and everyone finds it endearing). That being said, the "Patrizia sent me a swarm of flies" quote is still the funniest thing I've ever heard her say

Talking about Emma Stone and JLaw, if i recall correctly the whole thing with them was that they felt interchangeable, like you if you didn't get Jlaw you could get Emma Stone and viceversa.

Do you guys think there is an actress Gaga could be interchangeable with ? Cuz right now i feel like she has a very unique profile. She's got the acting skills, very committed to the role, knows how to create chemistry, has a fanbase... and ofc can sing and dance

based on nothing I feel like Joaquin doesn't like her and all their appearances together are gonna be awkward as hell
